The MoTec controls the added equipment and works with the stock ECM. The car still has a computer etc. It has been rewritten to allow for different imputs ( Ex. the MAF will work differently due to boost etc ) but it is still there. If you were to have a misfire it would still set a check engine light and you could scan via the obd 2 data link connector. Now, with certain systems turned off, could it possibly give a not ready indication... That I am unsure of. I would double check with your builder. If UGR, just send Kevin an email. He will set it strait. Mike

I sold a car to Lambo Dallas, and they were super to deal with. I have heard good things about them. This sounds like a crap shipper. Who knows what BS info he gave to dealer to get himself in the door to transport cars. Stuff like this is why I have always flown in and seen the car in person and either hired my personal friend to get the car, or I just suck it up and do it myself. I recently used ply-cars to ship my R8 from Cinci to Los Angles and back for fuel run. First time ever using someone else. The car was fine and not damaged, but it wasn't treated how I treat my cars. I have lifts in my garage too, and despite knowing exactly what will and will not fit. I even have what cars fit in what spots, with markings on the lifts so I know where to stop and lock etc... I still look, look, check, and look every time.. Lol Mike

So... Of course I am a member of camp UGR... But if the above is true. There is no radio/speakers, no ac/or supporting parts, a few gallon fuel cell, supports removed, etc... I really don't think that would qualify as a street car. I mean, it's fast as fcuk, but its not passing inspection anywhere? I have pilot super sports on my R8 non turbo. They seem to do well, but of course... 500 hp. lol I can check the size, but I think they are 345-25-20 on the rear. The general rule is toyo R888 with 305 in the rear. On stock wheels... I think you will be fine for driving around on the street, but I would run the stock size with R888 if you are going to compete.
