  1. Great info on here, thanks for bumping. When we come to the realization that these things are just glorified Audis, maintenance and repairs become a lot more manageable. About a year ago, my AC compressor seized and the replacement from Lambo was extremely expensive. The owner of the shop doing the repair (Elite Motorsports - member on here - great shop in Long Island for everything Lambo) said that we could use an Audi A4/S4 compressor and it was the same exact thing but significantly cheaper. It has been working great since, and I am glad I didn't fork over a ton of money for the Lambo part.
  2. Wow awesome job. Would love to have a manual G one day. Never driven one, maybe one day if Kai is nice ^
  3. Congrats, great spec! Love that piping and all the carbon.
  4. Beautiful car. Happens to me on occasion though. Restarting the car makes the light go off, and the front end lift always works perfect when I need it to. I chalk it up to it being Italian and finicky.
  5. I always run Potenza S04 on my G. No complaints and readily available.
  6. What a beauty. Jealous of the transmission, wish I had a manual. Ironically my daily driver VW is a 5-spd, then my fun car is an automatic. Needs to be the other way around. E-gear is the thing I hate most.
  7. Mine stopped working a few weeks ago. Shop told me the compressor blew up and there was a big hole in the side. I didn't believe it until I saw it. They recommended replacing with an Audi part, and now it works great again.
  8. Where did you get to test out those 3 cars? Sounds like a sweet deal. And nice ride, congrats and welcome.
  9. Ferrari of Long Island Why did they put the coating on in the first place? Just to make them "feel softer"?
  10. Is there a way to tell before it goes? I took my car in recently because the power steering has been very loud sounding, like a pump whine. In a normal car, I'd tell you the pump was bad and to replace it right away. But the steering feels fine, and they told me the sound is normal on these cars. The owner started up his personal 04 G for me, and it sounded similar, so I took his word for it.
  11. Had some disgustingly sticky interior pieces. Lambo dealer said 'sorry buy new ones'. But my Ferrari dealer said 'no problem, we have an in-house guy that refinishes these'. They came out great, and make the car feel so much nicer. They have my GranTurismo right now and are going over every sticky piece in that car too. Service manager said even new cars are coming in with signs of sticky trim pieces after just a few months. Why do they still use this coating?!? Guess you get what you pay for, shoulda bought a Honda
  12. I want to thank Ryan (Ag02M5) for installing navigation in my radio. I got it back from him today, re-installed the radio, and the navigation works great. I was very glad that I made this thread and was referred to using his services. I would recommend him to other owners looking to add nav to their cars that were not optioned with it.
  13. They are pretty much flush the fenders. I didn't want them "bulging". Another issue with wheel spacers on a lot of cars is that they make any wheel gap look silly if the wheel is out too far. I do not wish to lower the Maserati, as I drive that car long distances. So the spacer size that makes it flush has the right look. The car looks spot-on in person now.
  14. Good info in here. I installed 25mm spacers on my Mas today. That car needed them bad. The G is better, but could use them as well. Thanks for all the sizing info.
  15. Like others have said, that 3rd button is for slippery road conditions. It actually works quite well. Put it in that mode in down-pouring rain, floor it around turns, and it just putts along.
  16. So when I purchased my 06 G, I assumed the car had navigation. I never had a reason to use it, so I never tried to. Today I hit the "Nav" button, and it said "Navigation not installed". From dealing with similar messages with other cars such as BMWs, I assumed all that was missing was a disc to insert to get it running. I had an appointment to bring the car in for service at Lamborghini Long Island today anyway, so I figured I'd ask them about it and get the disc while I was there. Later on, the service guy calls me and says the car is ready, but that the car isn't equipped with navigation so there is no way to get it without spending big $ to retrofit the system. Not all that important to me, so it didn't matter. But I am wanting to ask the community if this is true or not. Its hard to believe that a car of this caliber would cheap out by sticking the same screen and buttons in all cars, regardless of its options. The car has a back-up camera and works just fine, radio works great as well. Is there really not some sort of software to get the navigation functioning, or is it really a big ordeal to activate that feature? Thank you in advance.
  17. My 06 does it sometimes as well. If I restart the car, it goes away. Only happens once every few months.
  18. No dimming mirror in the car. It looks like maybe its bubbling from sun exposure? Maybe I'll send them out the buttons and at least have those redone. Is there a write-up on how to remove? I'd like to send them some buttons from my Maserati too.
  19. I'm experiencing some weird interior wear. The center dash panel is starting to bubble and peel, and the center buttons are showing some serious wear. Is this common? Is there a "fix" or does everyone simply replace the worn parts? Is there a DIY online on how to remove these pieces? Thanks in advance for any information.
  20. They look nice. Are they tight when installed? Looks like they're the best option out there right now.
  21. Beautiful car! I saw it when I was in there last week. That '13 bodywork is wicked cool.
  22. Any update on the $400 ones? Checked your website and only see the original ones listed. I assume the new ones aren't finished yet? My lady took the car out the other day and did a nice high beam & windshield washer into Neutral
  23. Its my understanding that, with the valves open, it is a straight-through muffler bypass. I know it will sound mean, but I don't think I'd like to go that route right now. Thank you, I've already browsed a bit and have learned a lot so far. I took a video tonight of the sound that I am hoping to diagnose/fix. You can hear the rattle go away for a split second around the 5-second mark. http://vid27.photobucket.com/albums/c152/a...650F75A9E49.mp4
  24. I'd like to keep it the way it is and only go loud when I'm "on it". I want to keep it quiet to not cause added attention and/or upset any neighbors when pulling out of the garage.
