  1. Thanks, Inahi! From the shop manual, I can't see anywhere where the airbag is taking in the seat belt sensors. I think the seat belt sensors are just for the dash lights and the airbag system is self contained with the crash detection being done inside the airbag ecu and just wiring to the airbags and the airbag switch. The pic of the wiring does not show anything going to the seats or anywhere but the airbags and the airbag switch. From the manual: "The SDM is the control unit governing all the airbag system functions. The SDM is the only control unit in the system. It contains both the accelerometer and the error memory." The shop manual shows a code for too high of resistance to the airbag switch as well as too low of resistance to the airbag switch. So if there is something wrong with the switch or the wiring to the switch, it would set off a code, which appears to the be the code I am getting.
  2. If you remove the primary cats, and you find it too stinky, at least you can put back on the secondary cats as a solution (if you still have them), and not have to go to the effort of putting back on the stock primaries.
  3. That's awesome, thanks Digibeam!
  4. We don't have an occupancy sensor. That's why there's a keyed switch on the right side of the dash to turn on and off the passenger airbag manually instead of an occupancy sensor that automatically turn it off for you. We do have a sensor in the seat belt buckle, but I am not sure if that feeds the airbag computer. My code is related to that manual seat belt switch. It's not that expensive by Lambo standards ($100), but it could be the wiring connectors or something else.
  5. Which sensor? Not clear my issue is a sensor. It might be the airbag switch or wiring. Others have issues with the clock spring in the steering wheel.
  6. Could be the same issue. Is your main airbag light on also? The problem with troubleshooting the Murci airbag yourself is that once the light goes on, it can only be turned off with an expensive diagnostic system. None of the reasonably priced OBDII’s can do it.
  7. Add me to the list of Murci's with the airbag light coming on. I had it cleared, and it came back after a couple of days. I finally had the code read today by a Leonardo computer (not the official Lambo computer): Error code: 14 Error description: Passenger front airbag inhibition switch - Defective signal Status: Interm./Assente (Assente means absent) In my case, it's both the main airbag light and the passenger airbag light that are coming on. Has anyone had this code, and if so, what was your fix?
  8. Yes, towels, or something else sturdy, are still in order with the crash wrap if you want real protection. The crash wrap is designed to keep rain and debris out of crashed cars with open doors and windows, and not to provide any level of protection for the paint. As a result, it's about as much protection from dropped tools and sharp objects as a thin layer of chewed bubble gum. But if you are worried about buttons or rough areas on your clothes causing light scratches, it will do the job nicely. If your car is nice and clean before applying, the stuff sticks pretty darn well (it needs to for its original purpose of staying on while cars are towed), so it's a bit of a effort getting it on and off. In the end, my roll sits in the corner for most jobs while I make sure I wear soft cotton clothes while working on the car. Since it's kinda reusable, one idea I had was to make panels using study clear bra stuck to the crash wrap, and then remove and reapply the panels as needed. Storing them would be tough without getting junk stuck to them, so that's why I haven't done that yet.
  9. Here's a pic of the can. If nothing else, this product could be useful after you cut the lip around the perimeter. That would give good access to apply the product and reduce the effort to open the headlights. Although, based on the reviews, it doesn't work on all adhesives, so it remains to be seen if it will work on the adhesive for our headlights. And who knows if Lambo's supplier changed formulas throughout the 10 year run, so it could work on some and not others. And in the reviews, some circumstances you have to cut and then spray and cut and spray. So it may not be as easy as spray and done.
  10. We need a guinea pig! My headlights are already modified and spotless, so who's next??
  11. Is this the one? https://xemodex.com/us/product/electronic-throttle-module-etm-for-lamborghini-gallardo-vo-1010-12216561-10-20/ Looks like they raised the price to almost $1000/each and recommend doing all 4 at the same time. They don't list the Murci, but it's the same throttle body as the Gallardo.
  12. Interesting for sure. The sealant is very deep into the channel and curves around in a U shape. Do you think this product could penetrate all the way through? There's very little gap between the plastic and glass to get any product into the channel, and if there is any little bit of glue that isn't debonded, you won't be able to get the glass off without a ton of scary force.
  13. Thanks for adding the additional info LW Lambo! I am happy some of my info helped. I continue to hear of people opening the headlights without cutting the plastic, but my experience was the same as yours. I could never see how to open mine without cutting. There was just no room to get a tool all the way through the sealant. It makes me think that since these headlights were made in super low volumes compared to other cars, they must be hand made and therefore some headlights are probably easier than others to open without cutting the rim.
  14. There's 4 of them on a Murci, so 4 new ones at $2200/each would be painful.
  15. My understanding is that ended in 2003. If so, not all Gen 1's need to have the throttle body's sync'd.
  16. Interesting behavior that PoKnow figured out. If you have the temp setting on "LO," no matter what you do, the A/C will set recirculate OFF (outside air being pulled in). If you put the temp setting up just one notch from LO, you can turn on recirculate. I would never have guessed that's how it works, but from now on, I will avoid using LO.
  17. I had my battery disconnected for a few weeks while I was waiting on parts to finish my A/C compressor change last month. After finishing the job, I found out the A/C recirculation setting wasn't working. I checked this function by opening the frunk and feeling the airflow through the plastic vent against the back wall. I suspected the A/C control panel, so I followed the easy steps attached to reset the control panel, and now the recirc works great. If your car has ever had the battery disconnected for a long period, it's possible your recirc isn't working and you've never noticed. Without the recirc, the outside air makes the A/C much less effective in hot/humid climates like Houston, so it's worth the easy check.
  18. It's very possible it's just the earlier cars.
  19. Has anyone else been contacted by your dealer about these technical service campaigns? - Cover for the door actuators - Torsion bar bushings and supports for both front and rear of the vehicle - Sunglass box cover mechanism update I was scheduling an alignment for my car, and they told me about these "technical campaigns," not "recalls." The cover for the door actuators and the sunglass box are self explanatory, but if I look at the shop manual there's nothing in the suspension that is called a torsion bar. There is a sway bar in the front and rear that Lamborghini calls a "stabilizer bar." On my 65 E-Type, it has torsion bar front suspension which is a bar that acts like a spring by twisting as the suspension goes up and down. The Murci is definitely not a torsion bar suspension. I already changed the bushings of the stabilizer bar, and tightened the links that were loose. Doing those things solves suspension rattling I had in both the front and rear, so they don't need to be done again. One on my buddies on here also got the call that this work needed to be done. Let us know if you have been told about these campaigns and if you know more about what they are doing with the suspension?
  20. Knowing Lambo's thinking, they probably go with left and right as viewed when standing in front of the car.
  21. Gold standard is to get a coolant pressure test tool to find the leak. Pump up the system to 15 psi and find the leak. No better way to do it.
  22. I think you know the market better than most. It's true there's a lot of supply out there. But if you want to say you have a Lambo, with a stronger than ever brand, with a V12 and doors that go up, Aventadors are still a huge jump from the Murci prices, so that should keep a bottom net on the Murci prices. Murci's are definitely good values considering the level of the exotic market that they bring you to as an owner.
  23. Based on your knowledge of the market and your personal examination of this car, what would put as the value of this Murci?
  24. "This vehicle is in perfect condition inside and out..." From your message, somehow I am thinking his definition of "perfect" isn't the same as your definition. Am I right about that?
