As a European who will never know this joy, can I ask what Americans' obsession with guns is all about? For me, it seems to be one of: Exercising your rights Protection Sport Anything I'm missing? The American gun phenomenon blows my mind (excuse the horrible pun). What really struck me was the wording of the OP, stating that he "needs" a new gun. My immediate repsonse was to question who ever "needs" a new gun, and why. Hope this doesn't sound provocative, I'm genuinely interested.

I'm all for this. Even if my generation don't live to see the benefits of it, the next will, and that's what science is all about.

Going to see it tonight - can't wait ! Feels like YEARS ago that the first trailers came out. Let's hope it's worth the wait (and hype). @kmb58: that's some serious dedication and craft. Bravo !
