  1. any pics of the car after removal?
  2. that yellowing area is I believe a coating that acts a rock guard. That is usually the piece that yellows. My car has the same issue. My mechanic says he can remove it and replace it.
  3. Go ask fchat about that one. If you want the real deal, then the G. If you want the poser, then the f430. Enough said.
  4. I dont think it would fit with that roof or is that detachable?
  5. wonder if that car is still fro sale???
  6. Benefit. driven car has less problems. Benefit. driven car cost less to buy. Win win situation is always good.
  7. super x, how much did chad sell it to you for? Plus, there are two different types of the aldans. One is full adjustable, and the other one is not.
  8. oh I see. that islero is nice. How is it running? As to the countach, I can say it is in good shape as prior to it being sold, Gary was doing some work to it. It looks nice. I actually like the bumpers. If you take them off. I dont mind taking them. It actually looks cleaner than the FI countach bumpers.
  9. I am toying between the aldens chad has and these... the aldens were like 1000 with adjustable height and rebound adjstment as well.. Need to find out the price for this unit, which looks expensive... These shocks probably based on what I have seen for jpanese parts is probably high 1000-2000 dollar range.
  10. did you get from bobileff? Did you also buy the islero from him?
  11. Thanks Kenqv, that is what I thought. Because I remember my skirts as a factory option...
  12. Yep. I service my car at bobileff and I saw that a while back for sale. The rear was indeed a rear that was used to certify for us road use. I saw that bumper in consumer's report book on the countach a while back.
  13. Didnt Bobnar design the skirts on the top? The one I have might be a koenig piece?
  14. I saw on a japanese magazine with one owner that he did the same thiing. He was all crazy and had a custom compression tester hooked up on top of his garage and he was tuning the car himself....when I get the chance I will scan it and show it
  15. thanks allan, made me feel much better. :cb Ken qv no offense taken. I originally liked the top skirts better too. But, that was when I was a boy looking at a poster, those skirts look great. However, looking at it now, it just looks to busy. What I have heard is my skirts are a factory option. Anyone able to verify that? Looking at the internal area of my car, that area seems to be indeed factory installed as the lower area that the skirts covering it is not painted....
  16. do a 360 backflip. that is why the mechanics charge so much. they need to learn gymnastics young
  17. thanks Kenqv, that is the sideskirts that I have...... I originally didnt like it either. But, it does make the car look lower like the older 400s. There are two types of vented but they now look too eighties. The testarossa style dont look timeless enough. The sideskirts from the first pics look too tacked on because the vents create added complexity. These skirts look more subtle and thus less out of date than those skirts fromt the first pic Either no skirts or the simple skirts are best. I was told by Bobileff that the skirts were factory option.
  18. shorten off your legs through surgery. :axe: I heard alot of people in Korea have their legs lengthened in surgery, so why not the other way around?
  19. I dont think it is because the turbo countach despite having color matching wheel centers, had different tail pipe set up. if you look at the pics, it still has the stock pipes...
  20. if anyone has the wheel weighted without the tires, that would confirm that the magnesiums are definitely lighter. Unless, the magnesium pieces, they did not parr off as much weight as they could have.... meaning machining out pockets without sacrificing strength. The lowehart center are cast aluminum which is 30% more than magnesium. So, by material properties alone, there is definitely some differences.
  21. mirrors are adjustable..... bumper is not....
  22. magnesium is roughly 23-30 percent lighter than aluminum . Plus, the loweharts are cast center and spun outer rims. so, the 6.0 stock is definitely lighter without question.
  23. no, but it is lighter than lowenharts. Lownharts are cast three piece and your stocks are magnesium....
  24. yep. that car made more hp than the stock through blue printing... Now if they put it into production back then with the same body work... WOW. Who knows, countach might have been even better.... They said that in a mag back then that the car was for testing the carbon fiber as well. But they cited reasons for not using it as because they were worried that any accidents would have necessitated complete loss of car as it is carbonf.... But, that was the first full carbon chassis lambo i believe...
