In this area of Texas home prices have not depreciated and in my cases homes have still appreciated in value. With my relationship with the builder I can build a home custom to my specific needs and tastes rather than buy a pre existing home. The inventory of pre existing homes is very low, only about 240 currently on the market in the entire city. Out of that 240 not many are new construction inventory homes.

Southlake is between Dallas and Fort Worth near DFW airport. This builder is a very small custom builder. A 2 post lift is in the plans for the garage, I will keep this thread updated with pics.

My builder just secured the lot that I am going to build my new custom home in Southlake, Texas. The lot is just over 1/4 acre at 11,300 sq ft. The home will be about 3850 sq ft two story with 4 bedrooms, game room, media room and a 4 car garage with 12' ceilings. I am going to have the preliminary blue prints back from the architect on Tuesday. I will post some pictures of the lot and when the blue prints come in I will post those up for any suggestions. I will also keep this thread updated along with the construction process. I am excited and it should be completed in 6-8 months. This is a rough rendering of what I came up with for the exterior design;

We went on a cruise to the Bahamas over Thanksgiving for my girlfriends birthday...well I popped the question on November 23, 2010. That morning I snuck out of our stateroom early and told Brittany (my girlfriend) I was bringing her breakfast in bed. I went and found the cruise director, Ricky. We came up with the idea to call her up to the stage and tell her she won something after the show that was after dinner. So, after the show Ricky called her up and Brittany was very excited and thought she won $299,000. Then he called me up to the stage and that is when I asked. The wheels had a polished lip but I had them redone in gloss black, also had the calipers painted yellow. Here are a couple new pics.

Thanks for the part number, it was very hot today and when I got in the Gallardo my mirror was leaking. I did take the mirror apart and it is two pieces of glass glued togeather with the fluid inbetween. There is no way to get the fluid out with out breaking the glass (I know lol). I ordered the new one from lambo stuff with that part number, thanks. Funny that I was just reading this thread last week then it happens to me. lol
