  1. Huracan I believe has the same under-squared engine platform as the Gallardo. So not so much R&D for the engine but much for the fabrication of the turbo system. BTW, since ASS shop car demonstrated something promising for GTR customers. The win in TI gave multiple orgasms to GTR owners and I am sure the deep-pocketed ones will want some more of that. TX2K15...I'm booking my flight and hotel NOW!
  2. UR doesn't need to prove anything. Their customers have done that and then some. ASS' shop car displayed not only it won but it gave hope to GTR owners/customers that their platform still has a bright future on these events. TX2K15...I just saw the list of cars and their horsepower competing on the roll-racing event. Wow! One car stand-out was Eric G's GTR at 2100 hp...for a V6! I'm impressed!
  3. Video is up! Congrats to ASS! That was some good competition! So (ASS GTR) displacement came down from 4.0 to 3.8L. That explains why that motor seems like it's screaming the hell out! Must be hitting 10K rpm. You gotta have rpms on these kinds of races, GTR or not. Now, the Aventador is an over-square engine ~hint-hint~
  4. Your passion speaks louder than words! Great read!
  5. So you mentioned about the Supra. Not sure if you're being sarcastic but allow me to remind you one truth. The GTR will never leave a legacy not like the Supra MKIV...not even close. For the past two decades, ever since it was born, guys like SW, Saad, Ryan Woon, Dana VWR, Cody Phillips, and etc. have impacted the streets and the track with a Supra; literally dominated on every aspect. The motor, trans, and rear-end alone are pretty much bullet-proof coming out from the factory. Only until recently, when its platform was challenged by other updated platforms like the Lambos/R8s and GTRs. I do applaud on how well the Lambos/R8s/GTRs are doing but I still have deep respect on the Supra. Nero of ###### Motorpsorts is helping a customer for the next TI. I know they did well back during spring. So we'll see! Tell you what, if you take-off all the electronics, AWD and put a manual trans on the GTR then it becomes a 370z/G37. Have we seen one of these on these events? No, because they have the GTR for that. Might as well replace the steering wheel of the GTR with a PS4 controller and press start. Easy. I'm just old-school, I guess. So Sam or Vegasgtr, a little respect for those who loves to play with three pedals with a h-pattern manual shifting especially to those who are wrestling 1800+ whp, which the GTR can never have and never will be.
  6. I say shop car vs shop car on the next event.
  7. What's crazier is that you can take it to the street and to an event do it again and again. That says a lot about the package.
  8. Man! How far are these cars going to be pushed? What's next billet blocks? Pneumatic valves? This is great rivalry!
  9. Next TI will be really interesting! Everyone will step-up their game! Congrats to ASS for winning KOTS! Props to Dustin!!! Awesome to see a real customer compete with his own car deserves much respect.
  10. This was from yesterday from TSS FB page... Below is a list of all drivers top indexed and 6 speed challenge speed. Passes made during open sessions are NOT included in this list. Drivers listed as "not indexed" were outside the 5 mph+/- start speed. 11. I think you are forgetting that the Aventador's engine is an over-squared (bigger bore and smaller stroke) configuration. Meaning less side loads on the cylinder walls and less stress on the crank and its bearings. Plus if you put a longer rod on the same stroke, it will lessens the stress on the wrist pins as well. I think it's a great platform to make gigantic power. Plus the V12's ignition timing is smoother and more balanced compared to lesser cylinder engines. To go further, you can also change the firing order to minimize vibrations. A custom Winberg or Bryant crank are lighter and stronger and will handle the more power anyone could ever imagine.
  12. Aventador TT...AWD, heavier (good for traction), big displacement coupled with big turbos. GAME OVER!!!
  13. Won't be a surprise if a 2R Aventador TT show-up. When it does, competitors will be packing their bags and go home. Lol! In a serious note, the 2R and "X" package Gallardo/R8's are still dominating. We'll see in TI.
  14. Man! There's no other car out there at the moment that can do this. Such an awesome platform! I'll be honest, I watched the video countless times and my reactions were...smh; uncomprehending to say the least. That 2nd to 3rd gear and so on acceleration must be effing crazy. What drives me even more nuts is it does not have any chute to slow it down. Now that is a "STREET CAR"!
  15. I think we haven't seen nothing yet until a 2R Aventador comes out and devour everything in its path.
  16. Going to 200 mph is more suited with the power you guys are playing with. The Boss mustang is one great reference on power differences between the GTR and Gallardo during highway runs. The 8.1 ET of the mustang is no joke and majority of its great time was primarily contributed from a great 60 ft. time. I rode in a low 8 sec. Supra before on the highway and I am flabbergasted how fast is accelerated. I can't even fathom how it feels like to be in a 2R or A16/20. Nevertheless, enjoy and be safe out there.
  17. Hey man don't mean to make it more than it was. Yes, you didn't say no power gain. I was just adding and relating that there is power to be gained. I also stressed the reality of its longevity of such physical change internally. It's additional insurance as well. An Aventador is one expensive car and if a 2R or more is the goal, then I think it's better to over-engineer it. I can easily say to my tuner to have two settings...set the rev limiter at 8K for the street and 9.5K for 1/2 to 1 mile race events Now, gotta go to my nearest market to get some lotto tickets! lol!
  18. So increasing the rod length will lessen the life of the piston? No power gain? Really? Any serious engine builder knows the benefits of this practice.
  19. It would be cool to see Gallardo TT 2R's acceleration graph in comparison the cars in the chart! Can someone do your magic and include the graph in the chart? Thanks!
  20. I'm an engine guy and my money is on the Aventador. It may be heavier but its weight is an advantage for traction. The over-sqaure engine specs helps on the traction part especially when getting off the line fast!
  21. Oops, my bad TI, TX2K, and etc. should have a NEW class in roll racing...turbo bikes vs. Gallardo TTs.
