  1. Allan are you referring to the one that was for sale about 4 years ago sold out of Interstate Motorsport in NJ? I do remember Steve had a silver one with a medium beige interior. If so it was just an SV.
  2. I know there was a Monterey Blue SV with chrome sv rims at lamborghini of Chicago that was for sale awhile back and was in an accident prior to when it was traded in but it wasn't a Monterey Edition. It was sold later on but it met its final demise shortly after being bought. I think it may have been a 99 and it had saddle or snowcorn interior. There is a thread on this particular car with pictures of what it looks like after the accident.
  3. Just my thought but 110K for a standard SV, I think it would need alot of work (Rough) and your scraping the bottom of the barrel. Allan your thoughts?
  4. Now that is funny!!! I fell out of my chair LOL!! You are good!!
  5. My guess would be for an alarm system or radar detection indicaters.
  6. I am one as well, I consider myself in very good company. As for the colors from my research I found out each of the 20 was made in a different color. Keep in mind there are other SV's made in the same colors as the Monterey Editions but each of the Monterey's were individually colored. So I highly doubt that there are 2 Monterey Editions made in the same color i.e. 2 Pearl Whites or 2 Russo Viks.
  7. Answer 1 - As they don't usually switch hands often it would be what any potential buyer is willing to pay for it. Answer 2 - Matter of opinion as they only made 20 they are all desirable in any color
  8. Also the shifter is carbon and lettered Monterey Edition, side door sills are bare dry carbon and they came with a 5 piece luggage set that has the SV Monterey Edition lettering pressed into leather. I was lucky to have the original set with my car. The rear spoiler was color matched but also the center fin was bare cleared carbon. Lastly there were only 20 made. All this for an extra 40k. I have my original window sticker that shows it.
  9. It would be nice to know which of the original 20 are still on the road. I know the yellow one is in the NY / NJ area with mine. The Monterey blue one owner is a member here and obviously Allan's pearl white. The violet one use to be here on Long Island about 8 years ago but was sold and shipped to Peru, in not the best shspe. That makes 5 that I know of. On a side note the pics do capture some none Monterey Edition SVs and roadsters mixed in.
  10. Thanks Allan, Simply beautiful love the array of colors. I think mine is in the second photo parked in the upper middle frame of the pic. Keep them coming if you find any more.
  11. Thanks for that bit of infor. Since you are in the know. Would you have a pic or video of the premier with all of them shown? That would be a nice sight to see.
  12. So it did originally come with the black OZ rims instead of the chrome ones. I always wondered about that.
  13. Wish I could lower # 5 but with the dips in these Long Island roads it would not be ideal. It looks good!!!
  14. Allen, Have you lowered the SV since you got it? It does look lower than stock. Maybe it's the pic but thought I would ask.
  15. That SV Decal on the side looks Great if I do say!!!!
  16. Look great!!! Are you planning on wrapping that front end with the 3M stone gaurd? After all the working in paint I would hate to see a rock chip.
  17. Hello, Does anyone know a good replacement pad for the Parking brake for a 97, 98 0or 99 Diablo SV. I'm in the process of doing a rear brake job and I have thre rear pads but dont have the parking brake Pads. If you can provide a brand and Part # that would be apreciated. Thanks
  18. Its missing the right rear side carbon fiber engine panel. That will be a pita to replace!!!
  19. This is not the answer to your question but I would change the clutch anyway since the engine is out. The cost to put a new clutch in is minimal to the cost of the engine service.
  20. When I had my 92 I remember the cross reference O2 Sensors were the same that went into a 96 Viper GTS
  21. Does any one have the correct name or the website to the European Dismantlers site in the California area. I remember that there was a place that was a salvage yard that had burned or wrecked lamborgini's and other exotics that you could call for parts. I did a search under this section but I cannot locate the thread that references it. Thanks
  22. I was thinking the exact thing!!!! Now that was funny!!!
  23. I used it to wrap all my dash and door pieces of my 92 850. The stuff is great and you can actually feel the simulated threading plus the semi shine with the right lighting really give it that look of real dry carbon. I also had the roof wrapped as well, so it gives my 8 a more current appearance. I got the idea when I saw a 2011 M3 that has the real carbon roof.
  24. On the door panels it looks like you are using the 3M Dinoc Carbon Vinyl wrap. Am I correct? It looks good!!
