Gil and Mike both said it all. Gil's pre purchase write up should be a sticky! I started looking for a nice 6.0 back in late 02 and no story cars that were exceptionally clean were hard to find then. I looked at 7 or 8 cars before I found my yellow one. I can only imagine how hard it would be to find a truly nice car today. I fully agree with Peter as well, no matter what your giving for it enjoy the car to the fullest and take pride in knowing you have one of the few cars that is respected and loved by all car enthusiast. To justify paying more for a good car ,factor in the true US imported production numbers, cars crashed over the past 6 years, bad history cars that are still on the road, and cars that just have a lot of wear and tear and I would bet there are less than 30 US 6.0s in the US today that would pass a personal inspection and a independent PPI. You can bank that for every 10 you look at you will be lucky to find 1 that meets your full expectations. A few other things to watch for.... Cars that have endured a lot of heat, driven in hot climates, or not stored in climate control tend to show the carbon weave through the paint. This problem didn't start poping up until about 05 when the cars paint went through some aging and then settled. Black cars tend to show worse than the others but about 75 percent of them will have this in some form or fashion so look at its finish closely. I have been lucky with my roof but about 90 percent of 6.0 and most diablos will have roof swags or pocket dents where the roof flexes. This is pretty common so don't panic if you see a few roof dips. When you get the car you will have to figure out the remote/alarm/key turn on/off so that you can crank it. It tends to have a mind of its own but you will get the routine down. Make sure in your tool kit that it still has its factory inflatable tire pouch and can. A fellow 6.0 friend of mine was unable to get one due to the fact that the factory will not ship them because of the pressurized can that they are in. Enjoy your new ride !

Was or is that car located around the New Orleans area ? Back in the mid 90's a burgundy colored countach pulled up next to me, and it looked just like that car ? Its been many years ago but that looks just like it.

WHAT ? How in the world can that many 6.0s have roof dents ? I will be in the garage for the rest of the night going over mine with fine tooth comb and will report back in the morning !

Mike, does it pop or spit back ? I have seen a few Gallardos with exhaust spit flames but i dont remember ever seeing a Diablo shoot them out ?

I have literally taken on 3 new business ventures and opportunities. For the past 3 months I feel like I have had 3 hours sleep each night. I hope it all pays off over the next year and on in to a few more years. I want some new toys! LOL You know me though, i will always be checking in on my favorite two sections on earth,The Countach and Diablo sections on L-Power.

It was always hard for me to watch the speedometer when my windshield wiper arm was floating about 3 inches off of the windshield.

The more you drive more of the gremlins will disappear. That reminds me... I need to go let mine run for a bit

Took a look at it nothing! We went for a windows down run to about 120 with nothing but MS racing exhaust and wind in our ears!!!! After coming close to letting it go i did decided to keep her. I had Serious mixed emotions when it came time to sell. Getting close to finishing a new specialty garage with embossed lambo floor to keep it and some other toys in so i think my baby girl will inherit it when she gets old enough. Its now part of the family. Keep looking Dan , i know you will find one soon. Between the color and interior combo your wanting though it might be VERY tough. You might want to try Dave , Mountainwolf, he has a beautiful pearl yellow 6.0 with factory wing like mine.

Allan , to you everything but the space shuttle is underpowered stock. Correct me if i am wrong, but wasnt there a lamborghini connection to the M1 back in the day ? I love that white one !

I found an automatic 97 targa with 32K miles. Minor cosmetic issues. needs new tires. rims are scratched likely beyond polish. No service history known so the timing belt and valves/cam plugs will need service. He wants 32 with stock wheels. I wouldn't think the no service would be that critical on this car as I have owned several TL cars and they run forever. What are your thoughts on the price and no service records? I felt at this price it would be a great car to drive, Anyone who knows these cars and market ....Thoughts and feedback please !

LOL Jota , for some reason the one i looked at today doesn't look like yours? What an awesome machine and the floor in the shop looks great. Is that tile or industrial 12x12 self adhesive? Looks nice under those lights. I got a chance to do a little homework today and it doesn't seem like its a major steal by any means. Not enough to just go out and buy it. At first thought I was thinking it was around $20K or more less than what others had bought them for. I would have loved to bought it, drove it for the summer, and flipped it. Of course last time I thought I was going to buy a car and flip it was about 3 or 4 years ago when I bought my 6.0. I have come close to selling it in the past but i fell in love with it and kept it. I guess it is now part of the family and not going anywhere.

Thanks, I have just started looking around and I think your right. It was local and they seemed motivated so I didn't know. I called Mike, Albofaz, when I was there to see what he thought but I didn't get him. I knew he just bought one and figured he knew how the current market was. I just remember them strong in the 180s and 190s not very long so I thought that sounded like a decent deal for a new 06 but they may have come down to earth. Ever since I saw that speed channel special on the GT40, even though they have nothing in common, I have really started liking them. They sure seem like a lot of car for that price.

I got a call today from a friend. A dealer about 30 min from my house has a red 06 GT with no stripes. Just the stripes down the side. I looked the car over and i must say that the finish is beautiful and i quite liked it. Brand new with only around 3 delivery miles on it. He told me what they were generally asking for it but he told me that if I or someone i personally knew wanted it they would sell it for 161K. I have not been shopping at all so i have no idea if this is a good or strong price on the car ? any thoughts ? I really dont have the change to dump in it right now with all of the projects i have going on but that didn't sound like a bad deal? Thoughts?
