Thats good mileage. 4 cyl with a Kompressor that has roughly the same output as the C320 right?

I'm not sure what the 320 puts out. It's only 200hp I think or 189? It was an upgrade from an 02 civic. It's much more comfortable and quieter, which were the main reasons I got it. I've gotten 35+mpg before.

I think it was 218hp for the 320.

No not going to be used for work, i work in property and spend a lot of time in places where it would make life significantly harder if i drove an even a semi nice car, i use an average van. Sadly if people think you are doing very well for yourself they treat you differently and are less likely to pay you or cut an appropriate deal.

Contrary to popular belief the property market especially rentals in the UK is excellent if you're not reliant on house sales and have been sensible you're laughing and waiting till the market hits rock bottom.

Just to clarify i don't actually have an lp640, got to the stage about 1 1/2 yrs ago when i was looking to buy a murcielago but couldn't find a suitable one (mainly one that hadn't been crashed/repaired or silly money) and so decided to save up and get a lp as i much prefer the updated look. I am now in the position to buy, but am waiting as summer is almost over and i think there will be a few deals to be had when the weather gets cold.

Good to see there is a few locals here!

In the meantime heres my RR

Bit confusing when you say 'I'm thinking BMW M6 to compliment a LP640'.

Depending on what business you are in, I know what you mean about peoples perception when doing business if you have a nice car. But at the same time they make take you more seriously.

I think you could bargain a good deal even now, based on the few dealers i have spoken to.

Good Luck,

Good Luck,

The post was purely speculative, looking for ideas rather than statement of fact, sorry if it misled you. I was interested in what other people drive as a second car as i'm pretty set on getting a murci, so just looking as to what would go well with it.

Dealers are having a hard time at the moment, I also have contacts with several high end dealers including HR Owen. I personally think things will get significantly worse for them, so i'm waiting for the moment. There will never be a great time to buy but i think a few months will drop them significantly.

I will only buy from an official dealership, and there is only a couple of colours i like which restricts the market. If you look at my posts on another forum from when i was looking at murcielagos you may see why. In particular a certain well regarded lamborghini specialist looked me in the eye and straight lied to me about a car he personally owned (it had been in a head on collision with a range rover and repaired by them).

Another car had been wedged in a width restriction damaging it on both sides but was apparantly perfect and never damaged. I think you would be suprised how many cars have a hidden history of being significantly damaged and then repaired.

Also a main dealer can give in theory, better aftercare on a car like that. Have you spoken to Carlo at Top Gear Cars and Dion at Elms Collection, they are good indies.

I keep switching between getting a G and a M, but am waiting for a garage to become available before I buy. Tbh I like the M but is not as usable in town, width restrictors, speed bumps, underground car parks you know what I mean. The G doesn't have these issues.

Both guys have a good reputation but i'm just not sure i want to take any risks, will give Dion a ring at some point to see what he can offer, i understand he will negotiate on your behalf.

I do not plan on using the car as transport it will purely be to make me feel good and to drive for enjoyment, i will also use it all year round which is why i'm not as bothered by buying in winter.

I actually reckon the gallardo is a better car but it doesn't have the drama of the M, love both, purely personal preference, G is more practical though, better visability and size.

I went through a stage of switching between them as well, funnily enough, until i realised it didn't have to be practical for me as i would only use it for the sake of using it.

In my Gallardo phase i also found the G next to an old Murcielago makes the M look very dated, the brakes are also a bit rubbish.

If i had to choose between an early M or a G i would have a G, later M would be a much harder choice.

I do a bit of development but mostly our own property rentals & management. We are small group of companys and i am based on the outskirts of London/Hertfordshire, if you know anyone in this area, its more than likely we will have crossed paths at some point. A conversation i would prefer to have in private though, feel free to pm me and we can swap emails.

HRO website looks interesting, if you work for them i might have a couple of sites they would be interested in.
