Hamann unveils V8 Vantage Tuning Line

HAMANN UNVEILS V8 VANTAGE TUNING LINE

October 9, 2008

Hamann Motorsport continues to expand its line of offerings for up-scale vehicles with a new line of performance and aesthetic products for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Coupe and Roadster.

Giving the British sportscar a more race-ready appearance is the Hamann aero kit, which consists of a front lip spoiler (or optional front bumper replacement), side skirts, a rear spoiler and a three-part diffuser. The aero bits are designed with functionality in mind, namely, to increase downforce and reduce lift and can be ordered in fibreglass or in exposed matte-carbon (as seen here).

The diffuser is designed to fit nicely around the rear bumper, where Hamann engineers have created a more powerful and aggressive exhaust system to fit the factory location. Made of stainless steel, the sport mufflers and catalysts give the V-8-engine a more aggressive note while adding 20 hp.

The Vantage has always received rave reviews for its handling dynamics and so Hamann engineers decided to further strengthen that area of performance by lowering the car’s center of gravity with a new set of springs. The sport springs lower the front of the car by 30 mm and the rear by 20 mm. Also lending some assistance in the handling department is a set of lightweight Hamann Edition Race wheels, in a wider fitment that enables more rubber at each corner. A set of athletically German-looking 21-inch Race Editions wheels is offered with a 9-inch front fitment and a 10.5-inch rear fitment allowing for 245/30/21 and 295/25/21 size tires, in the front and rear respectively.

For those interested in interior accessories, Hamann also offers an aluminium pedal set and floor mats. And, as always, the company can custom craft an interior in leather, Alcantara and other fine fabrics and materials to suit any customer’s desires.

Sideskirts and bodykits are not proper for an Aston Martin, it takes away the charm and class these cars have. The Mansory kit was horrible as well...

Putting this ricer kit on that beautiful car is totally classless... I hate it
