Can you just give someone 1-2K and have them get you a car there? Any suggestions would be appreciated, looking to get a DB-

Any suggestions would be appreciated, looking to get a DB-9 Samuel, the dealer is not supposed to take you in, but there are ways around it, but most people are not going to waste the time to do it. I personally would not buy something like a DB9 for a customer for 1~2K, too much work and liability for that little $. Most buyers premiums are usually ~ 5%, I believe. Your best bet would be to post an ad on craigslist and see if some dealer would do this for you. ralfabco Report post Posted July 8, 2009 In Florida manheim and the high line auctions are strictly for selling, NOT BUYING! In other words, you have to buy from John Q Public (outside of any auction), to buy at true wholesale prices ?

ExoticCarSearch Report post Posted July 8, 2009 Many models leveled about 45 days ago , and have actually gone up slightly. The Gallardo and Continental GT are two examples of them. Many cars were cheaper 90 days ago. It is "selling season" though, and it happens most every year. Exotic Cars took the "Double Whammy" since the ecomoic crumble happened during the "off season" of selling where prices are usual a little lower anyway. In regards to the Riverside auction:Those prices do not include auction fees, transportation back to the dealer, and then any service or reconditioning work. Many dealers will bring a car to the auction with a clutch just starting to show signs of slipping or low friction plate readout, especially if it is from a dealer. The bank lane with returned leases was my favorite to buy from. People who leased cars and then returned them to the lender seemed to take the best care of an auctioned vehicle and the miles were low since they didn't want to be penalized for additional mileage. Repos-you never know-sometimes they know the bank is coming for their car, and they really get the most out of it before they grab it. That would be referring to clutch wear and tires. Two good indicators {that hold true most of the time} when looking at a car car are the tires and the interior. Here's a little more detail. If the tires are completely worn out , unevenly worn, mismatched, or really cheap tires it is a good indicator that the owner was not the type of owner you would prefer to buy from. If the interior is just looks phenomenal, it usually means the owner was very picky about everything on his car, and that would go as far as maintenance also. If the interior is unkept, and scratches in the leather and console with dirty guage faces and inside of windshield, most likely that vehicle was not well maintained and he also would have been more abusive to the car. These are generalizations of course, but I have bought hundreds of vehicles at auctions, and was used car manager for many years appraising trade ins, and this held true, since I would run the cars trhough my shop and retail them. Believe me, if there is a problem down the road from a customer, I would have heard about it. Take it for what it is worth. Just my 2 cents.
