The reason you got your package early and not broken is because UPS apparently used FedEx to ship it.

haha meant Fedex Seriously though I never get packages early. Their estimates are normally spot on.

Actually, I am willing to bet that Apple is to thank for your early delivery. Apple is known to occasionally rush something through. A friend of mine ordered a MBP and had it the very next morning using standard shipping. I'm assuming that you were getting something from Apple.

Yeah it was a MBP from Apple, but I checked yesterday and it had expected delivery October 19th on the tracking page, so I was very surprised when it showed up today.

Thats impressive. We ship stuff constantly for customers and rarely if ever is it early. At most 1 day early. But NEVER earlier then taht. Then again we dont ship internationally ever.

I don't do much freight but I have had one package damaged by Fedex, looked like it was dropped of the back of the truck onto concrete, they paid up the full cost of repairs eventually. Also huge prices for dangerous goods (adhesive)

 

OS freight is a bit different though.

My father did a nearly twenty year stint with FedEx (Mostly when it was called Federal Express). He worked his way up from driving the truck to managing the air hub here in Indy. I don't know why, but it seems like they used to be on top of their game a lot more back in the 90s than they are now. The rally team I work with has been waiting on some parts from FedEx that were supposed to be here last week... who knows. UPS got a camera to me on time earlier this week though.
