We're leaving now. It just got done PISSING down rain and now the sun is out to make it nice and sticky. It looks like most of the weather tomorrow will be OK. Just FYI remember it's not at Skytop this year. Check the on line advert if you need an address or directions. We'll see you tomorrow. D&D

My car will be on the field , I'll be at the BlackJack table :)

You parked next to me (balloon white lambo). Met your wife - guess you were at blackjack.

Enjoyed the show although the grass was wet/spongy/muddy.

Really went for track time @ Pocono.

Just got back.

AWESOME - AMAZING - FUN !!!

Can't wait to go again. Not a lot of pics but will post some tomorrow.

WOW.

THAT track!!!!

THOSE speeds!!!

Had an absolute BLAST!!!

I'd recommend it to everyone :)

Here are some of the pics I took.

D&D's gorgeous Diablo!

A nice LM002 was there, was very clean.

This 350 took the cake for me. I love this car.

Some minor attention to the "ladies" present. I use that term loosely. JT's friend Evan however seemed to like the sampling.

Doltmo's car looking gorgeous, with almost 67K miles on it!

Some of the Italian variety present on the show field that day.

Here is one for Allan

Hi David - it was nice to meet you. Sorry we didn't stay very long at dinner. As for aggression on the track - YEAH BABY!!!! :icon_super:

SERIOUSLY - I was told I was aggressive (by my instructor, and by some on-lookers) IN A GOOD WAY! :icon_thumleft:

Just like at my local track - people are given the "rules" and then completely ignore them. At first I waited for a point by - but Pocono is SO WIDE it BEGS you to pass - so that's what I did. I was able to do so safely in the approved passing zones. And even though many were practically coming to a STOP after turn 2 as they entered the infield - I never passed on the inside (even though I could have done so safely) - I didn't want to be black flagged (and never was for any reason).

I learned a TON, had a blast, and can't wait to go next year.

I started the day in the green group (had never been to Pocono before). Was signed into white by lunch, and signed into blue (highest level non-competition) the second day.

Was sorry to see two Ferraris collide the second morning. Most people don't have track insurance so there is a lot at risk. That was the only incident I was aware of. Maybe that's why all the Ferrari drivers were going slower. Have no idea why - but they drove VERY conservatively (creating frustration for those who wanted higher speed).

maybe the driver at the track is your EVIL aggressive twin..

heeeeeeeeeeee.. go gurl...!!

the funny thing is that in person, you are such a gentle, respectful person.. :)

i have participated in a ton of track days and never seen two cars collide..

I didn't see the actual incident. Saw one come off track on a flat bed :(

Was told one was pitting out and didn't see the other....

Was bad enough neither car left under it's own power. Too bad - never

wish that on anyone.

Regarding the EVIL AGGRESSIVE twin - yep - that MUST be it

cause I'm REALLY a sweet person (on the outside)

SERIOUSLY - all I want is clear real estate ahead to drive the way

I WANT TO DRIVE. Slow traffic screws up my rhythm, and I can hold

my line but not speed which sometimes affects line. I find that annoying

so I want to get around the person in front.

If THAT makes me aggressive - so be it. For me - it's not really about

BEATING the person in front. If they could keep up speed I don't care if

they are ahead. But if they force me to change my speed/line/approach

then I don't want them in front any more. I don't think that's aggressive

but maybe it is. Either way - I did a LOT of passing which was fun.

Hope you are having a great trip JR. Tell the doc I said "hi"

Well, I guess some things never change ....... I see you're STILL, coming home from school, with notes from the teacher ........

Great to see you're REALLY enjoying the car.

By the way, what did you finally settle on, for your vanity plate .............

YES - I am REALLY enjoying the car. I'll be at the track again Sunday, cars & coffee tomorrow morning.

There's a weekly Friday night car show but I'll take the SL55 tonight. Pretty much a car weekend :)
