Really liking my Pilot Super Sports. Would def buy again.

Same here. Tracked the zeeeoooosix on 'em for a season & LUV THEM!

Currently have them on the zeeeoooosix, the cayman r (track & street) and Lambo and BMW wagon. I only drive the wagon in winter and have a second set of wheels with Michelin alpin a3 snow tires.

The super sports provide amazing grip, fantastic wear (300 tread wear rating) and are a nice compromise. Since they aren't super sticky they don't throw nearly as much rocks/road grit at the car as the pzerocorsas.

They are also pretty good in the wet.

+1. Best tire I have ever run for street and light track work.

Great in the wet as well.

I won't buy another set of Pilot Super Sports ever -- that's how disappointing they are on my RX-8 right now.

For the G SL on the other hand... PZero Corsa for as long as they remain available -- I'm on my 9th set, and couldn't be happier.

Hi Lautlos,

+1.

What didn't you like about the way the MPSS performed on your Gallardo SL?

cheers,

john

My RX-8 originally came with Dunlops (SP8090 IIRC), and those worked

pretty well. Once they were no longer available, I switched to Yokohama

(Sdrive IIRC), and those worked pretty well too -- just a bit noisy at the

end of their lifetime. Last year, when it was time for another set of tires,

I switched to MPSS, based on all the positive feedback that they get. So

far I'm pretty disappointed. I simply find their performance a bit under-

whelming -- they are good tires... I just do not see them above the rest,

as I expected from all those thumbs up reviews.

By contrast, my G SL has always been on PZero Corsa. No regrets there.

Hi LAUTLOS,

True, the pzero corsa is a fine tyre and great for the track and great on the street, but it is not really a recommended daily driver street tyre due to high wear rate.

I believe the street use is what the MPSS gets the thumbs up for the G, with very occasional track work, if any.

just my two cents worth.

cheers,

john

Just had the PSS on track at COTA and found they did nicely even when pushed pretty hard. I didn't like the Corsas all that much on track but in retrospect, they were a bit high on pressure at the time.

On street, def the PSS.

I plan to put PSS on every car I can.

PSS seems to be THE performance tyre of the moment. Bought some parts from serious BMW M owner (also races one of the four) and he talked very highly about them.
