I really enjoy his videos as well. I never had seen underneath the intake in the lambo, good stuff. I wish he would of gone in depth on the lower intake to show if it had been modified with additional injectors or larger to facilitate the fuel requirements of the turbos

so? its 50lbs lighter? A billet block by itself would not make the car make more power. If they are at the breaking point of the stock block(havent heard of UGR splitting the blocks from sheer power), then yes the could turn it up more in theory. Exactly how much boost do you think a 19" Nitto is going to handle on launch... They are getting everything they can out of that tire. In sport you wont notice the quicker shifters unless your above a certain rpm and are at a certain % throttle. I dont know exactly what those thresholds are but you will definetly know when it happens. Egear in anymode will downshift for you when your slowing down to a light. If you are not in SPORT mode it will automatically shift to the next gear at redline, if you are in SPORT mode it will hit the rev limiter

Wow never realized it was that Gallardo that had all the turbo mishaps that ALSO had this issue. eek. I followed up in the turbo thread to see how it all hashed out but never heard from the guy to see if he ended up happy. Nice to know its hopefully getting all lined out and not getting "kicked down the road"

Can you get a clutch read on a manual like you can for an e-gear with LARA? I dont think 85k sounds that bad to be honest, but if the clutch is a question mark offer 82k expecting to have to spend 3-5k on a clutch

Its not a concept. its used in hundreds of thousands of cars today. The issues I found was the diameter of the device (high-flow systems require larger fuel lines than a tahoe would). And the question is could it detect higher octane, I am sure they are setup to measure ethanol in gas today http://www.haltech.com/flex-fuel-sensor-explained/ Not sure if something exists to detect octane or only % of ethanol

actually I would think the opposite, you are getting an EXACT read of the octane, just imagine the guys who run 93 and then run it down "fairly low". Who knows how many gallons of 93 are sloshing around the tank when you throw in the 116. They just flip the switch to the 116 tune. If you are measuring the octane, you can tell the computer exactly the proper amount of timing.

I almost wonder if you could bastardize the e85 fuel detectors, to detect fuel octane and adjust the tune accordingly. Last I checked they only had 1 size and attached to the return of the fuel system, but were really inadequate for high HP fueling. This is how "Flex-fuel" vehicles work, you can run any mixture of unleaded/e85 and the computer can adjust the tune accordingly

Are the custom intake plenums for looks only or performance? Seems like I have seen some on the 1r and 2r's, maybe just cosmetic?
