Movie review: Mummy

The dialogue is terrible, the side kick isn't funny, the women are eye pleasing, side boob on evil princess. She gives the kiss of death to loads of folks. I mean I am slut-shaming an undead evil Egyptian princess, but still.

The whole Russel Crow intro scene in his office that looks more like a High School production of Frankenstein, it makes you think they were planning prequels/sequels before they shot a frame of the movie and forgot to finish writing this one.

I don't understand why this movie was made but understand why TC will never get an Oscar. Just make a Less Grossman pic and another Jack Reacher. Sidenote: is it just me or is that a reach-around reference? I mean, it sounds like the name of a male escort on Grindr.

Not my cup of tea of a movie but saw it anyways.

Concur with the review.

Need a Les Grosman flick for sure and/or a prequel to Collateral.

:iamwithstupid:

I walked out after Crowe made his intro. Bridge too far.

American Made looks promising though.

YES to both of these

American Made looks promising though.

:iamwithstupid: That one could be fun

Just saw it today, as a popcorn flick it's fun...it certainly kept a bit of the spirit of the films from the 90's. Trying to tie in the other Universal Movie Monsters was a cool idea, but I felt this movie should have been called Mission Impossible: Mummy Protocol.

Spoilers:

- This mummy was the sexy villain that Suicide Squad wished they had

- This movie features Russell Crow as Russell Crow

- Zombies!

- Spider bites = Zombies!

- Mummy's Curse = Zombies!

- This mummy doesn't understand the concept of "no" means "no."

- Mummy needs help with anything = You guessed it, ZOMBIES!

- Imaginary friends are annoying

- Just say no to necrophelia

- Tom Cruise is a self-made god...in a word: scientology

I saw this also and was unimpressed...was thinking this was tying together bits for more of the Dark Universe movies...as Cruise still has his powers and so Crowe for the new franchise...
