The CS, 599 GTO also depreciated. As did many other limited Ferrari's (not to mention the CGT). Further, you have to remember the car came out in 2008/2009 when the global economy was nowhere... I think picking cars "future winners" based on if they depreciated at some point in their life cycle would have you missing lots of hits right?

My understanding is that you get an E-gear light that comes on the dash when the conversion is done. How did you get rid of the egear warning light?

It depends on price. Don't have enough information yet to "just stay away" Obviously, all else being equal, you would avoid a 7 owner car vs a 1 owner car. However price matters. I am sure if I offered you this car for 1 USD you would not "stay away". Very curious to know the reason for it being a lemon. Perhaps someone here knows the story. Best guess so far is electrical given the carfax which mentions electrical system checked and fused replaced..but that is really pretty much a guess right now..

Not sure that these wealth distribution fanatics make any sense to me. Given that the gov is willing to basically support people via entitlements is it surprising that people don't work and pay taxes? Shouldn't it also address who pays all the taxes? Also, it does not count the "free" food housing and other entitlements as wealth. IE if I have money to buy groceries that counts as wealth. If someone else works, pays taxes and I get the money without working and buy groceries it does not count as wealth. Now does that make sense? In fact, shouldn't someone be thanking all the middle class and wealthy that pay taxes instead of biting the hand that feeds them? Rant over.. In fact I found this. Not sure how current it is but it is interesting. Somehow these "wealth equality" people forget to mention this inconvenient part of the reality.

Really great review. The comparisons between the 458 and Maserati are very helpful. Thanks! I listened to an Aventador start yesterday and I thought it sounded good--but highly unusual. To me it sounded like almost a higher pitched sound and like the engine was gasping for its first breaths back to life. To me it sounded very exotic and like no other start I had heard.
