Whats the deal with the filler caps???

My thoughts exactly.

I wasn't sure about the wing till I got a closer look. While it doesn't look real I think it actually is. The owner just took the outer coverings off the uprights for the wing. It sure gives it a different look.

Are there two fuel filler tanks on the black CT?

The Countach has two fuel tanks. The gas cap set up would have to go if it was mine. I bet you could feel the depreciation with each hole cut!

That car is a LP400S which would have separate filler doors in each of the NACA ducts, one for each of the fuel tanks. He obviously has moved the filer doors to the fender.

Cant say I like the CT the way it is. Air scoops, ricer wing, bling wheels, Murci tips..

Mr. Lambo works for a F1 team and has changed some items such as the wing uprights and the louvers on the air boxes to carbon fiber. The SV style scoops are to cool the air to air intercoolers, since the car is equipped with a supercharger. These pics are old and some changes where made, but you can get the idea.

All Countach had this until the QV. My previous reply wasn't meant to imply only the LP400S had this feature, I was just pointing out that, that particular car is a 400S; and has two filler doors, which would be normal. Sorry for the confusion.

No problem, I was wondering when they changed to 1 filler. :icon_thumleft:

Common guys, did you never see a LP400s before?

Talking big words about LP400s S1 against S2 etc and not knowing all the countachs till LP500s had two fillers? :eusa_naughty:

During LP500s production, the early had 2 the later 1 filler.

My observation was related to the external mounting of the filler doors on the 1/4 panel. Given the owners F-1 experience I can understand the use of these style fillers, but IMHO it doesn't enhance the car.

1. Air scoops: More air for a CT engine its allway better....may be not if you drive only 55/65 mph....

2. ricer wing: Its a orginal QV Wing. I replace only the cheep ughly stock-stands. Every CT owner now what i mean.

3. bling wheels: the stock wheels are 27 year old magnesium Wheels, its a savety Problem. If you life near a country wthout speedlimits on the highways ist may be better too have some new stuff.....

4. Murci tips: not realy, the murcie tips are too expensiv and there looks cheeper.....

I'm not into the chrome fuel fillers, and I prefer all CTs without a wing, but I do like the SV-style scoops on top, and agree about the wheels. :icon_thumleft: Since we Amis don't get to drive flat out (legally), we can get by on our 10 yo Pirellis and mag wheels. No way I'd take my car above 100mph with its current tires. I have often thought about getting newer 17" wheels/tires, but haven't found a style yet that I like on the CT.

Oh, and I like the exhaust tips too. Four tips is old-school, and having only one tip is a little off. :icon_mrgreen:
