Sad yes, but I bet most of you would be condemning the driver if the driver was male stating that you were happy he didnt kill anyone else.... Too much power in the hands of a driver with the means but not the skills.. Same old story......

The problem with your thinking is that your comparing the Viper with a Lamborghini...For its price point this new Viper is a great value compared with other sports cars in its class plus it has the added value of being able to outrun and handle cars 3X its cost. If you bother to really read about this new Viper you will see that its a re-vamped car in a bunch of different areas, for the better..... Will it ever be a Lamborghini,? NO and its not trying to be so all the comparisons are just dumb. You just cant compare any niche ,low volume car company to the US automakers. I applaud Dodge and Chevy for what they have done and also their race history. I understand this is a Lambo site and the Viper will get little love but Iam also surprised at some of the favorable response too...Just like F-Chat there are automotive enthusiast and then there are brand loyalist who turn their minds off to anything not Lambo,Ferrari, Porsche etc. I think we are living in one of the greatest times in automotive history just wish I had the money and time to enjoy them all....

I would not touch it as far as paint goes..I like how the red wing tips set off the calipers and I love the inside!!!! I think gold wheels would look bad IMO..Good luck with it!!! I would put C/F skirts on it

Wow, thats a pretty strong statement; what did you hate about it and what are you comparing it to? Look I think most people on this forum will agree that most Lambos are in your face cars in styling compared to most Ferrari's.. I also thing most,lol(depending on which forum you ask on) will agree the Ferrari has been more of a drivers car. That said, you really CANT compare the 599 to the SV.. When you start comparing whats good and bad about both cars you will argue all day and then you mix in the people that just hate Ferrari's because they are not enthusiast and that's fine. I love cars and motorcycles in general and if I had the money I would put Lenos collection to shame,lol but I dont. I can only afford to have one car(as a toy) and that where MY problem lies. I remember seeing my first Diablo back in Connecticut while at a motorcycle meeting place. I must have walked around that car admiring the lines and pestering the owner with questions for about an hour,lol..No doubt the Diablo in every way defines the word EXOTIC. My 599 is 7 years younger and with that comes technology but I bet they are 2 very different driving cars. I dont think I will mind driving an old -school car so to speak with less technology but really dont want to lose a bunch of money on my car to go backwards just so more people can gawk at my car,lol..As far as being collectible,Iam 55 so by the time any car brings back more than I paid for it I will be dead and wont care,lol The whole truth of the matter is I just did not get what "I" thought was enough cash back for my car to trade for the SV but I will keep looking and maybe something will fit better down the road: if not well I still have a wonderful car in my garage. I just did not want to turn this thread into a Lambo VS Ferrari thread so if I did sorry about that. meaningless..

Iam sorry if I started a shitstorm on Billys SV.... I think the car is probably perfect in every aspect as backed up by Billy and Roy...I know the Diablo is NOT going to be a 599 and while I would love to have both there is no way I can. Without going into the details of the trade the biggest stumbling block comes down to money/ the trade of my 599. I have over 255K into it so its hard to part with.....Billy car is on consignment so if anyone is interested talk to Billy to get what he needs to get for it... I also understand the dealership has to make money in the process and in the end they just couldn't meet my number although they did try....If I had cash I really think Billys car can be bought for a fair price but my 599 has to be involved so no deal for me right now..Iam still on the lookout for a 2001 Diablo and wish I could make the SV work..

I know the 599 and the Diablo are two different cars 8 yrs apart in technology. Iam just having trouble on price as to what the Diablo is worth and the money I have into my 599 (255K). I do love the looks of the Diablo BUT I have not driven one. My original intention was to get a 2001 Diablo and I found a few I like but they are from private owners who dont want to trade and they want 175-185 K for their cars...Thanks for your feedback. I was also told the same from the owner of a 08 Murci who owned a 599..

Its not offfical yet but real close.....I just hope Iam not making a bad decision trading my 599....I have loved the look of Diablos from the first time I have seen one...I like the fact that it seems to have been in good hands and its services are up to date..The feedback from Billy and Roy have nudged me to take the plunge. I also wanted a Lambo that is semi-rare as I do plan to keep it for awhile...I just got back into town so I will report back when I get more news but Iam excited to be a real Lambo Power owner....

I was able to get with the owner and he gave me the number to the tech that perfomed the PPI on the Rosso Vic 08 Murci. The tech also sent me the clutch snap and pics of what they found...I have decided from the report and talking to the tech that I will pass and told the owner.. The owner was upfront but we were not able to work out a trade for my 599. He was also nice enough to give me a free PPI so I could make a decision. If anyone wants information on this car please PM me with your phone#... Kevin

As far as I know the PPI will not be done until next week..I also dont know if he sold it for 175K but I did not bid on it per the conversation I had with him..I dont know whats going on at this point.

UPDATE.................I talked with the owner and hes had the car after Driving Emotions so about 11K miles and he is getting an Aventador. The accident happened in his possession, story was Valet crunched it,new front bumper,nothing serious as frame damage. The car has NEVER been in Texas as mentioned earlier and Car-Fax backs it up if you can believe them,lol.... Anyway its on its way to have a PPI done at Sarasota Lambo because another person wants it done. He said it will be there a few days and he told me he will give me the full report and I can call them too. He is rounding up all the information I asked for on the car so at least he is trying,lol....Oh, the clutch was changed out when the car had about 9K miles and when he last had it serviced( 2 months ago) it had 75% left on it...... I will wait untill all the information comes back to make a decision but Iam not going to be crushed if its not good....

Thanks slo-kid but it has to be a LP640... I have not seen R-Vik in the flesh but to me it looks great in pics and will probably look better in person....
