  1. I split my sets into 5 boyparts, 1 per day, 2 days off. I've been going to the gym a long long time, just getting back into it now so not as strong as i was once upon a time but still pretty good for an amateur who just does it for fun. Cant really do heavy squats anymore as my back is ruined. I used to play a pretty good standard of rugby although never made it professionally, when i picked up a few injuries gym took over. I've added my current weights. My best bench press is 3 reps at 220kg, can do 200 at present, before anyone starts i have it all on video including my training sessions with some really strong guys from world's strongest man. People are alway suprised by my power as im quite slim and smallish in stature and because i'm quite proportional all over they dont notice my size at all, they are usually shocked if they see my top off or a short sleeved tshirt as my arms are about 18'' even now. I'm 5'8'' and my weight varies from about 13.5-15 stone (190-210lbs) depending on how much muscle & fat i'm carrying. Squats, free bar, light warm up 10 reps 65kg Leg press- 8 sets 8-16 reps 300kg - 700kg Hamstrings single leg 8 sets 8-16 reps 5kg - 50kg Calves 6 sets 8-12 reps 300kg - 400kg

  3. Fun, but the harnesses on both of them look way too loose.
  4. That to me looks like the actual car, except it has the slats across the back still on as camo
  5. So agree with you Allan, there is just nothing exciting at the moment. Glad i'm not the only one thinking it. SV is the best, but i couldn't own one for exactly the same reason as you, too old school. Still dissapointed the new v12 is not more interesting in the styling dept.

    What car wax

Yep i normally do that as well, but coming up to better weather now i thought i would give just wax a go and see how that works out for a change, hence a thread on waxes. I did try and read a couple of detailing forums but it was just too geeky and technical and not a single person agreed with another on anything.

    What car wax

Yep, i use menzerna polishes as well, am kind of obsessive about perfect paint without any defects, i've got more kit than most detailers, although i really only do the car properly a couple of times a year, i like to keep all my cars as perfect as i can. I can see paint defects/swirls, etc to deal with, i just can't really see that much differences in wax, just how long it lasts, just thought i would check i'm not missing out on anything. Have tried: Zymol Royale £8000 By far the best and lasted longest, but you would never buy it at that price. Swissvax Crystal Rock £550 Good shine but did not last that long, too expensive also R222 £30 Good shine but only lasted a week or so Dodojuice supernatural £65 my current favorite, seems to last and give a reasonable shine Collinite 476s £25 again pretty good and lasts ages.

What wax do you use on your car? I've tried several, cheap and expensive and in all seriousness i can hardly tell the difference. What should i try next, any reccomendations welcome.
  12. Just to answer my own question & update: The bite point is ajustable. Never quite got to the bottom of what was up with it, but its cured, clutch engage point was reset and then adjusted to harder. After the software update it changes more smoothly especially in corsa, all seems seems fine now. They also found a very small leak on the egear fluid resevoir so replaced the seal and topped it up, may or may not have been related as it was very minor.
  13. I really like the pic which is how i know that is not it exactly, pic is more agressive, like the others though its pretty close.
  14. Nope, but as i said they are pretty good to me generally so no need to name them. I agree with Vboxking the dealers should just be allowed to sell them for what they can get, then there would be no issue with dubious lists and sales to Mr Smith who miracously only puts 500 miles on it before selling it to the dealership at least then you would know and you might get the spec you want.
  15. Same in the UK, thats basically what i'm complaining about, the special customers order them, put 500- 1000 miles on them then sell them back to the dealership at a profit, the dealers then double the profit and sell it on as second hand. They had a 458 i could buy today with 300 miles on it at £40k over list price. I'm not a good customer as i only buy cars i want and keep them a while, you have to have a high turnover of new stuff or i guess over list as new stuff to even be considered. More sad than angry really, i shall go elswhere, its their loss, just a very strange policy. The funnyiest thing was i thought all you guys moaning about how retarded ferrari and a lot of thre owners are was a joke and just brand rivalry, it seems not, i'm genuinely suprised by there policy. I don't blame them for doing it as its clearly a situation created by Ferrari themselves not the dealership, the dealer is pretty good to me in general, i often visit for a nose round and can test drive all of the cars, even the new Ferraris, they just dont seem able to sell me a new one at list price any time this decade, no matter how early i order it, or even if i buy just a couple of cars from them.
  16. Story time: So it looks like i will now probably never own a Ferrari. I know the local Ferrari dealership staff quite well and they know me and my background (i'm no timewaster & don't flip cars for profit, etc) as they sell other premum brands at the same location and they all deal with everything not just Ferrari, i have never bought a ferrari though. At the weekend i thought i would pop in for a chat about upcoming models and putting an order in. The conversation goes like this, i'm interested in the new stuff, 458 spider what would be the chance of getting one within a reasonable timscale after release, i don't mean an early car just not 2 years down the line. Answer, no chance. Not unexpected, i know it would be a late order, thats just life. Next question, what is the criteria for getting an Enzo replacement. Answer, Ferrari picks the customers no matter how good your dealership rates you or how many Ferraris you have bought. Again ok fair enough, its a rare car they can pick owners as its a bit special. Slightly sad as there is not that many cars i like or aspire to and so having to blow ferrari for years and buy all of there range to get one sucks. Anyway this is where it gets interesting, i never really expected the above to be any different so no suprises. So we move on, ok what about the 599 replacement that is what i am actually most interested in, when would i need to put money down on one & i know i'm not on the "special list" but realistically would i be able to get one relatively early, say within a year of the release. Answer no chance. I am a little suprised by this and ask if there has been a lot of interest expressed then. Answer no not really, just you don't buy enough cars to feature on the list, me, so i have to buy cars that i don't want in order to get one that i do sometime before it is several years old. Answer, Yep basically thats it, head office at the dealership then decide who gets cars and in what order even if you are a good customer, even if we reccomend you and ask for a early car it will make no difference unless they want you to have one. Me, this is why people on the "list" order a car to flip straight away or after a few k still at a premuim, dealer, yep i know but there is nothing we can do about it. Lamborghini have been pretty good so far but maybe demand is just less for them, is demand really so strong in Ferrari that they are basically not accepting new customers? Either way i went a way with the feeling i would never own a Ferrari, before i would have liked to own a couple of there models, Enzo, 599 GTO but now i think i will just save up for something really special and Ferrari can stick it.
  17. http://www.evomsit.com/Bentley_MAIN.htm 621 - 664 bhp Cargraphic possibly?
  18. It will be the rs focus, the top car from each catogory goes through to the final 10 amoungst others, it must have won hot hatches or something like that. Every dam year in evo the GT3 wins though, not even funny anymore, either i'm missing something, it's really special, or they just don't see things like us. Either way i don't get it, i have absolutely no desire to even drive a gt3 rs compared to others on the list.
  19. Nice - but de-chrome it immediately
  20. 4 seats was only an option on the later cars. Since offering it as a 4 i doubt they have sold many of the 2 seaters, the carbon seats are not that comfortable either, whearas the comfort spec 4 seater has the same seats as a speed, Bentley will also convert it to 4 seats for you at a price though, if required.
  21. 560's dont throw cel on just an exhaust be it valved or not, they are not like the later versions of the origional car (no misfire sensor). Test pipes might be an issue though, i've not heard of anyone doing them yet. I also have Capristo
  22. Just down the road from me (Sotogrande), nice part of the world. You may find more people speak English than it seems, it's a national hobby to pretend you don't understand a word, especially in government departments. In the more rural areas just inland they genuinely dont speak or understand a word though.
  23. Lamborghini 7 gears, new zf box now has 9, its for front wheel drive cars though, its also getting silly! Shifts are 'below the levels of perception'. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=23008
  24. 150 miles since and also they put 40 on it testing it before it came back to me origionally as they were having issues with the new software. Its back at the dealer now as it is clearly not right, it really struggles to pull off on even the slightest slope but seems to shift a lot smoother in all the gears apart from that. You can just feel it eating the clutch as it doesnt really seem to engage even if you give it more revs you can sort of feel it bouncing in and out of engaged before it finally picks up grip. Tried it in corsa as well as i thought it might just be the new normal mode setting and no different whearas before it was sharper.
  25. Is this possible to do like on the original? Needs to engage harder in first gear as it does not feel comfortable on inclines after gearbox was updated to the latest software, it was fine before the update. Thanks
