Okay, I need to respond to this one - ForzaL, you say you're a "creationist", meaning you believe the Earth, animals, etc etc were all created in 7 days right? Then you claim new species have "appeared" in the last few hundred years - so how do you suppose this happened if the Earth was created in 7 days at the beginning of time?

I started to write a rebuttal to ForzaL's totally flawed arguments when it dawned on me why bother! If he clearly believes what he wrote (even though he's wrong) it isn't going to make any difference explaining the science ....

Right or wrong, who wouldn't want to get out of paying $450 by using whatever legal loophole they can find? After all, most of the camera's in CA are using legal loopholes to dole out tickets in the first place, not certain why the Cpt has a moral issue with this .....

Thanks everyone, but doubt my home owners policy will cover it as it was a flood, and while I'm pretty certain my neighbor is at fault for letting his drains get blocked, I don't want to go down the legal route just yet. I guess after seeing some of the other damage in the So Cal, I can't complain too much, at least I'm still in my own house and not evacuated.

OC just got nailed and more to come today. Came home last night to a flood in the house and spent all night cleaning up and clearing the drains in my neighbors yard which were blocked and caused water to back up and go into our place. What really sucks is we just finished a 3 month remodel with new floors
