I was disappointed that it was so conservative in sticking to the same tired formula. I was hoping for at least some interresting car shots like Ken block does...at least something to leave and want to talk about. Other than the very beginning and end, there is nothing.

The 08 superleggera was produced in similar numbers. It has done ok but certainly nothing to write home about. I expect the McLaren to do worse. They will inevitably come out with an even better, faster, whatever model in a few months when this one doesn't sell that well, just like every other version so far. And if for some reason the 675 is a hit, I doubt they will hold at 500. If they do, again, they will come out with the 685 or something else to put the resale of the last model in the shitter. They are worse than Lamborghini at screwing over customers.

I think one of the reasons for so few 08 manuals is that you paid for the extra option charge for egear whether you selected it or not. Also, there is a somewhat famous, Grigio 08 here in Houston that has been converted from egear to manaul. If you really must have a SL and manual, that is probably your best bet to get one.

Had the 50th never existed, this would be much more exciting. Bringing out the Aventador J and Veneno prior to this doesn't exactly help either.

I like but I think this would have looked more bitchin... Have larger openings in the lower original wing where the big wing supports are. Then the big wing supports go down through the openings and connect to the rear bodywork, similar to the Murci SV, as one piece. Something along those lines would have been epic IMO.
