  1. They are the wheels in the first pictures painted solid black, but definitely not the stock wheels.
  2. fcuk man, you're livin right these days!
  3. Pretty much on point D. Seeing the full second by second acceleration rate would tell a considerable amount about the car, it's powerband, and just how hard it was working to reach the end mph. If the log shows they were only at 180 through the 1/2 mile, and the car blasted 200-26x in the last 5 seconds you know it's really gonna move when they get it sorted out. My personal feeling is that a record is as follows: 1. Verifiable and recorded by the event with quality data. 2. Is backed up within a given % of the record run. This is something almost every sanctioning body requires for a certifiable record. NHRA, SCTA, etc, I don't see this venue being any different. It all but eliminates the one-hit-wonders and speculation about equipment errors. Wouldn't hurt to have someone with a lazer gun mounted somewhere as a backup. FWIW, If Heffner and Peak aren't making a fuss about this I can't grasp in my little pea-brain why anyone else is? They clearly have a mindset that TX is going to be the showdown everyone wants and have no qualms bringing the thunder. IMO, their silence is saying a lot about what is coming. The other "contenders" should do a lot less e-shit talking and get back to work on their cars, from the looks of things they have a lot of work to do.
  4. Love the interior! In a roadster that would be off the charts!
  5. I have two predictions for the next 18 months which make me happy and uneasy all at the same time. 1. Someone will crack 300mph. Now that people are really taking it seriously and showing up with the power, it's all about sorting out the car. It may first be done by more of a "racecar", F-body with a nasty motor etc, but someone will do it. 2. Someone is going to tear up a car real bad, god willing not themselves in the process. I truly hope EVERYONE starts taking safety seriously. You can build a nice cage, wrap it in leather, build in some slick removable door bars, etc. Anything to help hold it together if the worst happens and it starts doing backflips at 250mph. Please guys, don't let your egos and dick stroking get you f-ed up.
  6. Ultimately, you're going to be dealing with a 1k hp car, sometimes shit breaks and it's just a fact of life. Outside of that there is no reason it should be any less reliable than a stock car. As long as you keep good fuel in it everything should be great other than some accelerated wear on various disposable parts. If it's tuned safe and nothing goes foul it should run for 100k miles with nary a problem.
  7. Balloon white could be the best color evaaaaaarrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. If he's here looking for an explanation... I think he should offer up one on the guy with his finger on the AR-15 trigger the whole weekend? I'd personally like to see the data on how he claims to have $750k into that GT. I have to assume even including the Renegade Rig and Jet fees, Peak doesn't have $3/4mil tied up in this game.
  9. It works extremely well, has been well tested and proven in many other venues. As I said it's like anything, just requires the proper tuning and of course a couple safeguards incase a pump goes bad or the fluid gets low. A light pre-turbo spray does huge things for power and compressor flow, and don't buy into the b/s about it tearing up the turbo. If it's done properly they will outlast your car.
  10. Works great to keep temps down and allows you to run more boost on pump gas. It's all about playing with the map and tuning obviously. Ultimately, what are you trying to accomplish?
  11. ^ Ha thats pretty good. I've long wondered how people document gambling losses to the IRS.
  12. I believe you cannot get a loan based on the income of the lottery winnings, but you could still apply for a loan based on dividends being paid, income from investments, etc just as any other person would. That being said, i'm sure it would be pretty easy to work around. If you win a 9 figure take, you shouldn't need a loan ever again, for anything.
  13. I was going to say how many 14yr old girls have a solid C and look like they are in their early 20's? Food hormones are definitely having an impact on how people are developing. As far as technology goes, forget the past 150 years, just look at the last 50. From the SR-71, space shuttle, computers, surgical procedures, etc.
  14. Sure... Attorney sets up a blind trust which pays the taxes, claims the money, etc. No particular individual has to claim it, but a said person or family would be the trustees over the funds after the fact. One step in keeping you out of the public light, though to the close people it would be hard to cover up.
  15. Quite a bit more info is needed here Wiggs... But 21xx hp seems obscenely high for a Murci to crack 300mph, doing it in a given distance obviously requires substantially more power. FYI, this firebird did 300 on the salt with ~1500 crank hp. http://www.mitechengines.com/picture%20gal...es%20page-1.htm
  16. I'm turning 30 in Oct... and i'm not doing nearly as well as you are lol.
  17. Wiggs, you're only 29? good grief, I suck at life hahaha
  18. So Peak flys his own jet in and lands on the runway... ballin!
  19. Clutch reference was regarding a Carrera GT, SLR doesn't have a clutch of any kind being an auto
  20. ^ Nah, Phantoms definitely get a 2nd and 3rd look from almost everyone. Murci will turn some heads but a G doesn't even get a glance these days. Interested to hear what Peak has to say since he owns about every exotic car under the sun these days. . . other than the grand daddy that is.
