  1. I'm an owner! Love the car.
  2. For me, if I could only have one watch, it would be the Audemars Piguet ROO T3. I just bought one about a month ago, and really like it.
  3. I think you are right about this. The R8 has hardly been out a few months, and I am already tired of the look of the car.
  4. I wonder if Audi will up-the-ante with the Gallardo, or just continue to steal from the Gallardo platform. The problem I see is that unless they make a jump with the Murcielago, the Gallardo will be stuck at its current level.
  5. This Zonda really needs to lose that ridiculous red stripe down the side. Reminds me of the old Mustang GT's that were striped all the way around because they were too cheap to build panels that didn't have seams in the center.
  6. I don't know what it is about the Zonda's, but they look "cartoonish" to me. I have not seen one in person, so maybe my point of view would change if I stood beside one. Not sure. But for my taste, it looks like something out of a comic book.
  7. That still doesn't justify it. I just replaced 2 carbon-ceramic rotors on my race car, and it didn't cost anywhere near as much.
  8. That f'n sucks. $10K each is criminal. Ridiculous. I hope you are able to resolve it.
  9. LOL. Let's promote this as "The Lambopower Deathmatch - David vs. Goliath".
  10. E-Diff on the Scuderia is revised from the street F430.
  11. Ah yes, I should clarify that the AWD system is constantly working, unless of course you disconnect and/or remove it! How are you enjoying the car without the AWD system? I bet it's fun.
  12. The nice thing about the Ferrari system is it can be completely turned off. You have the option of receiving electronic aids, or not. So, it has the best of both worlds. The AWD unfortunately is constantly working.
  13. Actually, the Superleggera lost 154 pounds and gained 10 hp, the Scuderia lost 220 pounds and gained 27 hp...but who's counting? It will be interesting to see what happens on days when the cars are tested back-to-back. I don't think either car will destroy the other, depending on what your definition of "destroy" is. But I have my gut feel on the outcome.
  14. Here is another great pic...
  15. This is very true. AWD is very stable, until you hit the limit. The E-Diff system that Ferrari is using is actually really advanced, and just might be as stable as the AWD platform (on a dry surface) without the understeer. The E-Diff works quite well in the standard 430, and apparently they have improved it for the Scuderia. Either way, as Dad stated, driving within your own limitations is key.
  16. I've actually found in our area that the number of dildos on each side is about equal. But who's counting.
  17. Despite how "non-exotic" the 911 is (in comparison to the Gallardo or 430), there is something classic, purposeful and beautifully functional about the 911. It is a totally different philosophy that emphasizes constant evolution, as opposed to revolution, and I can certainly respect Porsche for taking that direction.
  18. At least we can agree on something today! Now, would a guy that is blinded by red mist say that the Gallardo is the best looking of the group, by far?
  19. Mine too, even with my myopia.
  20. Really? Who was it that said: "One company is doing it right, the other is relying on the perception of the brand." Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that passing judgement on the car?
  21. Ouch. Looks like I've been put in my place. Sometimes I wonder why I even participate in these forums when you have a mod that wants to somehow kick a member in the balls for having an opinion different to his. Especially when that member actually has owned multiple Lambo's, Ferrari's, etc, etc. Is the purpose of a mod here to throw their weight around with members/owners, or to regulate inappropriate content?
  22. If the benchmark for the Scuderia is the 430 Challenge Car, then what is the benchmark for the Superleggera?
  23. Mako, I don't feel threatened at all. Each of us is entitled to our own opinions. Where I find things strange is that you are somehow entitled to your opinion based on your analysis of the car on paper, but the moment that I voice my opinion, I am a "Ferrari sheep". Anyone who actually knows me (which isn't too many people on this board), knows that I am not a "sheep" to any brand. I drive anything and everything, as long as I like it. If you are suggesting that everyone reserve judgement until they actually experience the car by driving it, then you may want to practice what you preach.
  24. I was just about to say the same thing. That car is toast.
