  1. It's a very cool car. If someone wanted a Ferrari with a V-12, and that is what you want, then this is a great car in the under 90k range. With cars like this, it is all about what turns you on. The price is great for what you are getting. I do not judge power figures the way many people do. It is all about the excitement of the drive. Yes, this car might not reach 80 as fast as the modern super cars, but it might just be more fun getting there. If you like it, get it! It is a freaking V-12 Ferrari! 'nuff said.
  2. lol Lambo is still the coolest. They just are playing catch up right now. It's cool, that's the cycles of models.
  3. At the NYC reveal for the Aventador, I mention to Winkelmann that Lamborghini could do very well by bringing the Muira in as a high end Porsche competitor, at 140k. He said they don't have the resources to turn that many products out and he is focused on making the traditional Lambo V12 be by far the best in it's class.
  4. Congrats! That is a great picture! I remember thinking that when you posted it here. I'm glad to see it recognized!!
  5. Thanks!! I am loving it so far! lol! Thanks! The 612 definitely has a classic timeless look imo. It is not very dramatic, but it is classic. Thanks A Lot!!! I plan to take some pics with my fathers S65.
  6. Having just bought a Ferrari today, GO FERRARI!! In all seriousness, the McLaren needs to lose the seriousness. The MPC-12-4 looks like it is from the era of the 430. It looks old compared to the 458 and even the LP-570-4! Redesign the body, make it more McLaren F-1 ish, paint the test car bright orange and beef that exhaust way up! Hire who ever they hired to make the F-1's exhaust.
  7. Only 5-12??? Come on! The market is huge for a 3.5mm car that isn't street legal and doesn't fall into and amateur racing class! Maybe if they sell 20 the owners can all get together and hold a Sesto Elemento class race once a year! Then they can actually use their cars!
  8. Thanks!! Yeah, that Porsche is a wickedly amazing ride!! If you like the looks, they really knocked it out of the park on the Panamera. If a Maserati drove as well as the Panamera, but retained the Masterati styling to the body and interior, that would be game-over ridiculous!! The 612 is very planted, and the engine is very powerful. You can feel the power stay totally balanced from bottom to top of the revs in every gear. The automatic mode is good for when my wife drives and the sports mode is evil for when I am alone! I can tell I will be very happy. I also like the fact that I got this car for 1/2 of its original price, with it still being practically new. I won't think twice about racking up the miles. My wife had never seen the 612 before. She was very surprised. She is used to my other Ferrari's being raw and race car looking. When I told her I was going to get a Ferrari for the family car she laughed and said "OK, sure." She thought I was coming home with a 458. She sees we can fit her and our son no problem. So, she likes the 612 a lot!
  9. This morning, I went and test drove the Porsche Panamera. It is unreal! Very, very nice. Still, I cannot stand the looks. I went back to Ferrari. The 612 was to-die-for in comparison. I was shocked by how much I prefer this older used Ferrari 612 to the new Porsche. That is not to say the Porsche is anything less then amazing, it just didn't feel as exciting to me. I can totally see how more people would disagree with me than agree, but I like very specific things in a drive. So, I bought the 612! It was raining pretty bad all afternoon. I took this pic when we stopped to get some dinner before heading back on the highway home. I will post more tomorrow after my guys fit the car seat and all that. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and help! If anyone else is looking for a comfortable, but exciting DD, that does not garner too much attention, but gives you a powerful V12 at your toe at a great price, I highly recommend the 612. 9k miles now, 25k by this time next year!
  10. I have my dealer on alert. As soon as he can take my order, he will. I want Alcantera interior and carbon fiber appointments like the Murcie SV. No two-tone, just the SV stylings. When they are willing to do it, I am ready. I thought I was getting it before the end of 2011. I am stuck still waiting to place the order! Taht said, I am not going anywhere. When they are ready, I am.
  11. Yes! The QP is cool. I feel like it is overdo for a refresh. When I test drove a QP, I thought is was pretty cool, but I can see places that they cut corners. In all fairness, it was not the turbo. The 612 I test drove, a few years old, felt newer, faster, tighter, and more refined than the brand new QP. I hear the QP is going to get a 4-Wheel Drive refresh in a couple years.
  12. I am reading about it now!! I didn't even know about this car! Pretty cool! Over 500bhp on the supercharged model! Definitely a contender if the 612 is not a done deal. Thanks!!
  13. The S65 is totally amazing. If my father didn't already have one, I would strongly consider it. Hey VBOXKING, I have never been in a Maybach. I thought they were geared more for being chauffeur driven? Maybe it is just the models I have seen, which has only been on line and tv. Never in person.
  14. Does anyone have the episode 5 link? Thanks in advance!
  15. Hey Allan! I am not surprised. I fear it may be a tad overcooked. That was my only concern at the NYC reveal. Did they go overboard with design trying to make something special and overcook the stew, ala McLaren MPC-12-4. I will be interested to find out. I will order my Aventador when I can do Ad Personam, and I am sure it is amazing. But it might not be raw enough. I actually prefer the pre 560 Gallardo's! I bought a 2007 and put the price difference in the 560 bumper, Kreissieg exhaust, carbon fiber, etc. I liked the rawness of the earlier ones better.
  16. LOL! I love the humvee! It is an experience like no other. Just too bumpy for the little guy. The 612 has a lot more space in the back then a 911. It is shocking! The way the seats bucket in the 612 makes for a lot of room.
  17. I want a car that I can drive my family in that is comfortable and fun. When the family is not with me, or if I am picking them up from somewhere, I would like the power. There are plenty of lesser expensive cars that are amazing!! No doubt! I love automotive styling, sound, and passion. I also love driving!!! The things I like about the 612: The 612 is surprisingly roomy. I am 6'3 and the gentleman at Ferrari is 6'0. I sat behind him, and we both had plenty of room. In fact, I think I could take my wife, son and one more comfortably. I like that it is not flashy looking. They can be had with low miles for the 130-180k. For 130k, I cannot find anything new that I like as much. YES!! 100% agree!! TOTAL OVERKILL! I love cars! I drive my Hummer H1 in-and-out of New York City 3 days a week. I bought it new in 2005. Never a scratch. I enjoy extreme automobiles. You are correct, but I just like the crazy passionate designs of certain cars. It is not just about speed and power, although it is always great, I like all the other stuff. Engine sound, gauges, steering wheels, lights, the whole thing! I just love cars. I happen to like Italian cars styling a lot. I see them a lot on the road. They are great, I'm sure. I just cannot stand the way they look. I have had very good luck with cars, minus Land Rover. Japanese are very reliable, as are German. I have a friend with a 6 series BMW that has been near a lemon. I have another friend with one that is perfect. Most cars, I find, are built well these days. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't seem to ever have problems. knock on wood.
