  1. Clip from a quick spin I took tonight down the Skyline Route to the Newark transition where one of the air traffic controller's at Newark threw on the lights on intersecting runway 29 for me to spot the runway and follow it then head back to KCDW. Definitely a cool experience overflying EWR at 2000' at night.
  2. Ended up failing over Texas. I was originally going to bring the plane home to NJ for a week or two before my avionics install appointment, once that happened I decided to just leave it there and grab a commercial flight back home to NJ.
  3. Thanks! It took about a day and a half with half hour or so breaks at each airport just to stretch our legs, left Phoenix at 9am and got to Mississippi around 7pm, then left Mississippi around 930am and got to North Carolina about 130pm.
  4. And here were the airports we hit...
  5. Picked up my '07 Diamond DA20 over the weekend and flew it from Arizona to North Carolina where it'll be getting a G500 setup installed, took a bunch of pics of the aerial photoshoot I did of my plane and the trip back.
  6. LOL I thought I was the only one.
  7. Thanks! Shot that with a f/2.8 14-24 on a D800.
  8. Forgot about this thread, some pics I took while I was flying the skyline route down the Hudson River last month with my wife.
  9. My wife shared the same opinion unfortunately lol
  10. Went shopping for a decent quality 1911 such as a Kimber or Sig Sauer... Ended up with a Wilson Combat X TAC...
  11. My view on speed and fun is an educated one. I'll be ok.
  12. Oct 4 - Oct 11 2014 Above Average Below Auction $171,000 $157,000 $144,000 Est. Retail $184,000 $157,000 $131,000
  13. You either need data from previously collected FEA and then you simulate the torsional stiffness, or you experimentally determine the torsional stiffness by using linear screw-jack actuators and apply vertical deflection in gradual increments while using load cells.
  14. Are you guys planning on transitioning to the new C185 display? I assume in this application it would be particularly helpful considering you can concentrate more information in less space.
  15. Pricey indeed, but the clarity alone makes it worth it, PM sent.
  16. I'm looking to get rid of my Trijicon ACOG TA31F-G since it's a little overkill for the rifle it's on and replacing it with an Aimpoint Comp M4s, anyone interested in it? Only used five times.
  17. I thought I was going to be the only one to remember that movie lol
  18. How in depth are you getting with the data logging? Just ordinary sensor package? Or are you going all out with individual lambda and EGT for each cylinder, pressure sensors across the entire motor, suspension travel etc?
  19. So easy to be an internet tough guy...
  20. Here are a couple of the other options available for a dedicated track car... Wolf GB08S, powered by a Honda K20 w/ a Sadev VD F2000 Caterham SP300R Stohr F1000 And the tried and tested Radical SR3RS
  21. It's a breath of fresh air in this industry to see a customer that's properly taken care of by their supplier. I've seen a ton of horror stories with manufacturers that hang their customers out to dry after their orders are placed and their cars are delivered. The Riley customer had a little bit of an issue with the engine coolant temperature when the car was run at 10/10 with his particular setup, and the company made sure to do everything in their power to rectify the issues and helped him along on every step of the way. That's HUGE compared to a lot of the companies I've dealt with that say "Oh, it must be something that you're doing, it's not our fault, our setup is perfect..."
  22. I got a chance to see one of their latest cars up at Monticello with the BMW V10, excellent build quality and attention to detail, the owner also mentioned that his factory support was phenomenal.
  23. I currently have the ACOG 4x32 with the green chevron for a midrange platform on a 14.5" carbine. I'm currently building a longer range bull barrel AR, and then planning to follow that up with a CQB build, so I was curious about what your stance would be on how the Leupold stacks up against some of the lesser magnification ACOGs or say an Aimpoint M4s red dot setup. This is all purely for fun, not for any competition or work.
  24. Would you happen to have any experience with the ACOG? If you do, how would you compare it to the Mark 6?
