  1. Nice work Allan! I bet my speakers look just like your old ones! LOL! If I try to turn up the volume on my stereo any louder than say "a whisper", I get that paper flapping sound! Hhahahahaaa..... What size are those speakers? 5 1/4"? Mike
  2. Allan: How many screws hold those sills in place? One of these days I want to remove mine. Mile
  3. LOL! Gotta love those high quality speakers with 7oz magnets! No wonder they sound so bad! Mike
  4. Allan: Are you going to try any of their dye products? My leather is still really soft and supple, like you, I have some spots on the sill (drivers side) that I would love to address, but I'm scared the color won't match exactly and I'd have to do the entire interior. Mike
  5. It's a 2005 model, so they didn't have the terms "Base, Executive or Sport" yet, those started in 2006. So, in 2005 you chose options. Mine has the "Sport" option, which in 2005 was a $4500 add-on! CRIKEY! Its a local 1 owner car and it only has 7,600 miles on it!! Good grief, not even broke in yet!!!!! My wife's jaw hit the ground when she saw it. She said the thing looked like it just rolled off the factory floor. The seats don't even have a "butt dimple" in them yet! LOL! I don't think the back seats were even sat in! Mike
  6. Well, I guess I can say this is "Countach" related..... LOL! REDBULL has a new stablemate. Just picked it up last weekend. Here is a shot of it at Saturday's Redmond Town Center, and a shot of Roy's new 88.5 too. Mike
  7. Just picked up a new stable mate for "REDBULL". It looks just fine sitting in the garage! :-) Mike
  8. Its a scam. My friend here in Washington owns the car. The pictures are from 2011 when it was for sale. He is already alerted eBay to it. Like he says "The car resides happily in my garage". Some scammers will try anything... Here is a photo of it happily sitting next to my Countach last year at the Italian Car show at Griots Garage. Mike
  9. Had our first show of the season yesterday!!!! The weather finally was nice!!! Amazing turnout of cars for the first show of the season. There were 225 cars in attendance!! Here were 2 really nice photos a couple of guys made of my Countach! Mike
  10. Crikey!!! Glad that Countach rear wing never caught on!! I wonder how many they sold? Thats the only one I've ever seen. Mike
  11. Allan, This was $350.00. He does 2, 3 and 4 views as well (and of course the price goes up accordingly). You can get them framed or unframed (Mary chose unframed so she could pick out a frame that goes with the Decor of the house). I think he charges about $150 for a black frame. He does have a price guide on his website. Click on the "Order" tab and there is a WORD document with all the prices, etc.. Mike
  12. Wow! What a surprise! My wife had Steve Anderson do this beautiful illustration of my Countach for my Birthday today. His work is amazing! I've seen the illustrations he as done for some of my friends Ferrari's, Porsche's and Lambo's and was always amazed at his quality work. I highly recommend Steve! Here is his website with lots of examples of his work: http://www.saillustrations.com/
  13. I wish I could remember where their farm was located! The last time I was back there was in 1974 when I was in Junior High! Both of them have since passed away. One thing I do remember is just down the road from their farm was a small store/Gas Station called "Greenways". We used to drive there and pick up Country Ham!!! Mike
  14. Gorgeous pictures! I love the old Texaco station! :-) By the way, how close is Grayson to Hartwell, Ga? My grandparents had a HUGE farm in Hartwell when I was kid growing up. Used to love coming back during summer vacations as a kid to work on the farm. Mike
  15. Years ago when I owned a 1980 Maserati Quattroporte, I was having a problem that was driving me crazy! Same sort of thing as your Countach! I could drive the car fine for about 10 miles, then it would slow down and nearly stall. I rebuilt all (4) of the Weber 42DCNF carbs, replaced the fuel filters, etc. But it would still do it!! I finally gave up and towed the car to my local Maserati dealer. They had the same problem! They looked and looked and looked and FINALLY found the issue!!! Both fuel pumps (the primary and back-up) would work fine until they got warm, then for some reason the voltage would cut in 1/2, thereby providing about 1/2 the amount of fuel the car needed to run! They replaced both pumps and problem solved! It was nearly impossible to see the problem when the car was idling, plenty of fuel was being delivered and you could see it going through the glass filter bowl. It was only when the car was running at speed that the problem occurred! Mike
  16. Great news Alberto! Glad it was an easy fix this time!!!! Mike
  17. Roy, you need to get that baby ready before our first E@RTC on Feb. 16th! We can have dueling Countach's yet again! :-) See you soon, Mike
  18. Wow Russ, this is just awful. I think Beavis & Butt-Head sum the situation up perfectly:
  19. Russ: If you are still looking for a Countach after this nightmare is finished, did you talk to Roy about his 88.5 that he purchased a month or so ago? Not sure if its still for sale, but it sure looked nice from the photos! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=391696 Mike
  20. Hi Allan: Sorry, I don't. I've never had my panels off to measure. I would think a 25th owner would know, since I believe those cars had the speakers in all the locations. Mile
  21. Exact same thing with my car as well. Only speakers at the shoulder height side panels. Also have the speaker perforations at the front of the door sills, and on the lower portions of the dash. But, no speakers are in either of those locations. Mike
  22. Good gosh! That is some serious smoke! Were the rings shot???? Mike
