Yup, like Allan said, when I bought the car it had a flash, test pipes, straight exhaust, wategate actuators and a boost controller and made ~ 370rwhp. Then I added water/meth injection and went on the run without tuning it. I dyno'ed the day after the vid above was taken and dyno'ed ~340rwhp; lost power. I fine tuned the mix and re-dyno'ed at 400rwhp. Then I added bigger turbos, made 430rwhp and lost 2nd gear. So I upgraded the trans internals and installed a limited slip diff. One day at the track, boost controller failed, over-boosted and a piston expressed it's displeasure. So I rebuilt the engine with stronger internals and minor port work on the heads. There's a build thread on LotusTalk. I haven't dyno'ed the new engine. The car is such a blast to drive! It's a difficult car to drive and won't cover up any of your mistakes but it's very rewarding. I'll pick the Esprit over the Murcie on any fun drive. Here's another blast from the pass

I've noticed that most cars are flat back on the side of the bat wings when they raise. Mine are gloss black. Was that a factory option or an aftermarket change?

Thanks again guys! Ed, those pics are what convinced me to buy my car. I was on the fence about the color and those pics put me over the edge. Thank you because I was pleasantly surprised by the color when it came off the truck. I'm also trying to grow out my chest hair.

I've witnessed a few PPI's at a few shops. I can tell you most were a joke. Nothing beats having mechanical knowledge and inspecting the car yourself. Sprite, as for your accumulator failing. Lack of use could have severely reduced the life of it and may not have been evident at the time of PPI. There's no excuse for the rest though.

I agree! You cant go wrong with something that's a straight pipe design; no mufflers, no secondary cats. Although, a lower restriction exhaust may trigger a CEL on later Murcies.

Congrats! The car looks great!! I have seen windshields with the distortion you mention. It's a manufacturing flaw. Only way to fix it is to have it replaced. As for dis-engaging E-BRAKE, do not press the button while the handle is in the lowered position. Raise the handle until you feel resistance, THEN push the button and lower the handle. There should be no pop when done this way.

Funny you mention that. The 02 wheels are my favorite Murcie wheel. Unfortunately my car is a 06 with the later so it has the bigger factory brakes and would not clear the brakes. So it was Hermera or Hercules for me. The car originally came with Hercules For the wheels or car? lol hahaha, no tint I do love the LP640 tails and the fruit stripe tails have never been my favorite but the amber & Oro Adonis go really well with this car in person.
