those little boxes are evil...really add up. my C2S spec was around the same. it feels more special than the C2S. i went back and forth a bunch. that said, if i'm checking boxes on a R8, then its worth just getting a base V10, since it comes with may of the V8 options standard. but then i'm talking another 30-40K. initially, i was thinking C4S nicely spec'd, but i walked over audi, and ruined my day. haha. but going back to my initial thoughts, base R8 V8 to keep the cost around 120-130. not coming from any serious sports car, the 4.2R8 seems fun.... they didnt have a 4.2 to test.

I thought about the gallardo. However, say i find a killer 06, its going to be 6 years old. my concerns are replacement issues, warranty, services, etc.. my fear is that i am always chancing my tail fixing small issues. i like the peace of mind with a new car.... but a gallardo is tempting. the more i read on the V10, it sound like a much better option, but everyone has different points of reference. anyone regret or underwhelmed with their 4.2.

first "real" sports car. looking at new, around 100K. Looks like the 991, GTR and R8 are the only contenders. needs to be AWD to drive in the snow. Cant stand the GTR. Looks like a Maxima. is the V10 worth the extra $$

Looking at an R8. Supposedly, March 1st is the cutoff date for ordering the 2012 models and the new body style will be introduced in 2013 or 2013.5. I’d be looking at the smaller 4.2L, 6-speed. I know there is a ton of biases here from those who don’t like the R8. Any thoughts from 4.2 owners? Better off getting a 991? How’s the awd in the snow? Anyone put ski racks on the roof? Appreciate your thoughts.

Relax. It is not a real picture. Its a photoshop and expalined in the FerrariChat forum. BTW, there is no way that Ferrari is going to sell a 200K car that is faster than its pride and joy the enzo which sells for something like 1.2 million.
