  2. HI Guys, I am looking at Buying a Countach in the near future, in New Zealand we drive on the LHS all our cars must be by law RHD.They will allow you to import a LHD but it must be converted before you can register it for the road. I have looked into the prices for a English sourced RHD Countach and they are out of my reach ie approx $235-250k nz. Does anyone know of anyone ever converting a LHD Countach to RHD, has it been done before. I am seriously into cars and more seriously into Countach's and i have the skills and equipment to convert it over, but i have a few questions that maybe someone can answer. There are also some i may not of thought of so any help appreciated. This would be a major conversion ie remove all the components from the dash area etc and modify the chassis to suit, then a new dashboard will need to be made up. I have only ever seen 1 Countach down here so its hard to know what i might be letting myself in for. 1 What car did the original steering rack come from was it Fiat/Lancia etc and if so what model, or was it factory built rack 2 Are the seats different for Driver and passenger side could they be swapped, or more to the point is the centre console actually in the centre of the car or is it slightly offset to give the driver more room. 3 Does anyone think the original Heater/aircon unit could still be used, or is it made only for LHD 4 As far as Pedal box etc it looks like it could it be moved across. 5 Can the Windscreen wiper be moved over if a new panel in front of the windscreen was made up. I realise this is not going to be an easy conversion, but it's the only way i can forfill my dream of owning a Countach. Best Regards graeme

  4. hi 88 1/2 qv , Maybe i can help,as a electronics engineer of some fourty years, i would suggest that the black wire either came from the white plug shown or maybe an earth tag attached to the inside of the box lid asumming it is metal, wires that sit in a postion for 20 years tend to harden up the plastic and don't easily bend, given its shape and length there are only a few choices, maybe it went down onto the pcb that holds the fuses, but there is a reasonable chance it came from the white plug,i would suggest count up the strands of wire at the end of the black wire and with a strong magnifer have alook inside the rear of the plug where they get crimped to the connector, by the look of it 1/2 the strands broke of at the insulation and 1/2 at the crimp point you should be able to see the remains protruding from the rear of a crimp in the rear of that connector, or from down on the fuse pcb,hey its worth a go. 7. Hi guys, interesting solutions to the filling problem, does each tank hold 30 gallons or is that the total of the two tanks, i would have thought 30 gallons each,as the tanks look to be a reasonable size each. Those CT motors would not be kind on gas usage, what would you get in the way of MPG cruising on the open road without a lead foot, and does this limit the distance you can cover on a long trip around the USA. We don't have the distance to cover down under in NZ and at a 1.88per litre for 98 octane trips are keep short anyway, running a CT could be an expensive exersize. Regards Lambolexus
  8. Another clip of the same car sounds nice and it would' t fall apart if I built it , looks pretty close to the real mc coy and nicely finished, someone put a lot of time into that, and probably a few dollars as well. Regards Lambolexus
  9. Hi guys, I notice in the pictures above that the roof of the blue car has 5 small vents in the roof at the rear, was this standard for only a periscopia, if so was it to allow air to leave the cabin, how did they get the air out of the later models as none that i have seen have those vents.
