1. My friend George and I are heading over to MB-World pronto.
2. Question. What reason did the insurance company give for dropping you? Have in mind you say your shops take $200k a month.
3. Another bit of food for thought. Just been speaking to a friend of mine that works for regional criminal intelligence in the South East of England. He mentioned how there has been a large number of aggressive entries on properties and TWOC (Taken Without Owners Consent) the common link? Audi RS4 and R8's. Now factor that in along with some R8 owners losing roughly £30-35K+ ($40K) in the last 6 months or so now is not a brilliant time for the owners. Not saying that Gallardo owners have had it easy but the perceived gulf between the two marques/cars is starting to show abit.
4. Just finished reading EVO magazine's review of the R10 versus the LP560 - they actually asked on here if anyone could supply a car... Anyway I thought I would add a few choice quotes from the article to provide a touch of balance to this thread, a third person's opinion if you like. "There's a feeling that the new V10 engined R8 is one for the doubters. An R8 for those who still aren't convinced that Audi can build a truly great junior league supercar, despite the the praised heaped on the original V8 R8 and despite a display cabinet at Ingolstadt crammed with Le Mans winners trophies." "The R8 is all the sensibilities and values of Audi moulded into the shape of a mid-engined supercar. A Brilliant car, but one more like the Honda NSX than an Italian exotic. The R8 V10 addresses that" "...R8 V10 engine details... Of course, it is also adds a more intriguing exotic soundtrack, erupting into life with a lightly nasally whoop." "When it arrives in the UK this summer the R8 V10 will cost £99,575, same as a 911 Turbo give or take a few floor mats" "The only difference between their engines are the intakes and exhaust systems and mapping, the Audi could have the same 552bhp" "Certainly the the V10 R8 is a more serious proposition than the V8, an R8 with the performance to lobby strongly for supercar status, but you only have to park it alongside the Gallardo to realise that doing the numbers is not nearly enough." "Fire up the Lambo and you might think it is powered by a whole other V10. It catches with a thunderous outburst loaded with a with a fluty, off-beat yowl..." "Is Audi Undermining its extrovert Italian? Is the R8 V10 a Gallardo on the cheap?" "Despite its shortcomings, the Lambo is the much more desirable car, the true supercar." "The R8 V10 takes Audi closer to Lamborghini territory but there's no threat: the two sit together in Audi's portfolio like olive oil and balsamic vinegar." When the article comes available online I will post a link if this thread is still going.
5. Just for the record that bit is a clear load of bollocks. The Daily Mail is a notoriously shit newspaper and would not give it to a homeless guy to wipe his stinking shitty arse with. Jay Kay is a top car nut and some people think he is a bit of a cunt but then cocaine and up close and personal Paps can do that - some deliberately messing with his cars to provoke a reaction. The guy has a encyclopaedic knowledge of specific cars and music and has come from a hard background and has done well to get where he has. To say he does not have any luck with cars is a touch unfair, you only get to hear about it when they get damaged and it is not him that does it. His collection is constantly changing But here is a little video
6. I love that picture in more ways than I can write down.
7. And now for something completely different
8. http://www.ferrorosso.com/details.asp?id=62 Is there a colour this car does not look good in?
9. Not completely to my taste but dammm that engine room walkway looks THE absolute tits http://www.fraseryachts.com/YachtImages.as...PicID=pi1818_FL
10. Stick with it and let it build. Elbow - Grounds for Divorce Fantastic band, going to see them at the end of the month.
11. It might be worth making the group private though. Reason being if we have 18+ policy on the board here there is nothing to stop little whelks joining up and posting crap on there creating a false impression of this site. Plus I know for a fact a few people have joined up that do not read this site. Or if they do can the following introduce themselves Maria Lucia Lazzarini Caroline Vandenbempt-Battaglia Silver Hoe Michele Zelcer Flavia Morea With pictures...
12. I read that he is building a hoax character in the public eye.
13. Youtube link Take out the spaces. Job jobbed.
14. Music being quite subjective and personal plus it depends on when and where I am driving some memories from the last 12 months. M40 (motorway) heading South at 2 in the morning. Bad day at the office, driving home slamming into the redline Another bad day Country-road blast Early morning (4am) drive heading West with the sun trying to catch me After losing a game of football driving home in a foul mood
15. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=19358
16. Boyle also did the film The Beach. Worth checking out for three things. Thailand's scenery, Virginie Ledoyen and Robert Carlyle as Daffy. Other than that the film was terrible and people should read the book by Alex Garland which the film is based on.
17. Awesome film. I was watching trainspotting the other day and it has hardly aged which to me is a sign of a good film.
