  1. Agreed Turbo50Mike, when its flashing it probably means its misfiring at that moment in time for most cars. If it just comes on it stays solid it could numerous different items or even a failed system check.
  2. Do you have test pipes in the car? You should not be driving unless you understand WHY the check engine light is one. Most newer cars will throw the light on to tell you there is an issue that is most of the the time minor but you driving across country need to know if its a small thing or big thing. The car can't talk, it can only signal what its programmed for. If it makes you feel any better, if you start to see the check engine light FLASH, then you need to stop immediately. Most newer OBD cars are setup to have different levels of check engine lights with the flashing being the most extreme. If your with the guy with who Carlos is with right now, (which I would bet you) then I can take a look at your car when you get back in town. PMing you now to keep it off the boards.
  3. I went out in a ghost this weekend for lunch straight off the dealer lot and it had some error messages saying the hood was open every couple seconds. After clicking ok on the screen 10 times it said the engine was too hot and we needed to open the hood, lol. The dealer said it just needed updated software, lol.
  4. PCJR--Is this one yours? Looks like it. Hows the traction with these wheels and the michelin pilot sport cups? I'm wondering if the R888 are about the same or better. These look killer on your car by the way!!
  5. My buddy had the same exact delay experience as you did too. I like their products but not sure what the deal is with the delays and excuses.
  6. Thanks for the reply guys. I'm confused now on what route to go. The car has 20' in the rear and 19' up front already so a 315/25/20 pilot sport cup would be ideal without having to spend another $3k on a set of rear wheels in 19' to run the R888 if I can get away with it. When you say the sport cups took heat to work, you mean more heat than the r888 takes to work? I remember the white gtt convertible with sport cups and that was a fast car. Did you just leave traction control off and it was able to be controlled once it slipped for a moment and hooked?
  7. Has anyone tried other tires besides R888 on a TT? There is Michelin pilot sport cup tires in a couple sizes that MIGHT work: 305/30/19 315/25/20 345/30/19 To match the rears, they make a 245/35/19 which is a little wider than Toyo. The R888 are limited to 305 in the rear and 235 wide in the front. The michelins have a short wear pattern and I think they heat up quick? They will suck in the rain but who wants to drive a G-TT in the rain
  8. Anyone know this car? zhwbu16s64la00952 Listed on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lamborghini...=item3372432607 Looks nice but the miles were above 18,200 in February 2011 now its listed a year later with 18,000 in the ad. Not sure if all of a sudden he stopped driving it in the past year and just forgot how many miles were on it when he listed it?
  9. Many more parts were replaced then what they are describing and the pictures don't show but half the story.
  10. Nice of you to post the pictures of the previous repair so everyone knows what happened. If anyone on here is really considering it, you can PM me as I have more info then what is listed in this thread. I won't go into anything in this thread publicly though.
  11. It seems the sale never went through on this car for the 2nd time recently. The next person should review the info on here, have a PPI and make an informed decision and not rely on what the auctions say. I wonder why the sales are failing at the last minute. There was a white salvaged LP640 in Canada that was on Copart until Monday this week, not sure what happened to that one.
  12. How crazy is it that our Hybrids get like 40ish mpg when in Europe they have so many cars with better fuel economy on even diesel!
  13. I've been there before with owning a porsche and it took a while to find a really good combo. Porsche has possibly one of the worst gray interiors in my opinion next to BMW. There black looks very good though.
  14. i just joined the site so I don't have much credit here but I'd suggest some of the most commonly held stocks in each of the major indexes.
