Heres a couple with my wife & I. One was at the Seminole Hard Rock later (won the show & got a hat and trophy), the other was at Mara Lago with the S. Florida Viperclub ( I was in between Vipers at the time).

Just got back, had a great time!!! Can't wait till Orlando in August Anyway, yes Johnny did crash, kinda spun around & the back end hit the guard rail, though haven't seen it since so don't know how bad it really was. He was leaving from where he stopped to look at the smoking Gallardo. The Gallardo was a blown engine. I'd guess it was leaking fluids which created the smoke. Someone said they saw fluid(s) coming out the exhaust tips too. I'm sure we'll get the straight scoop soon.

I agree 100% As far as selling mine, I'd have to be offered a lot more than I paid for it for me to part with it. I loved it before the pulley change, but now can't live without it after . I too would regret selling if I ever did. That said, I might trade for a different color someday if I ever got tired of the red, but that would be it.

I would also take the Veyron ANY day just because its more exclusive. Imagine if the Veyron had Doug (DLM) or Jason H. do a tune & increase the boost a bit. I wounder how that would turn out. That said anything can be modded to beat the next guy, so its a dog chasing its tail in the end.

Very much agree here. My FGT only has the smaller pulley & tune (Heffner) installed locally by DLM. I have run it against my Murcie & Viper & it walks on both of them. Looking at adding a DLM/Paxton SC to the Viper so that might change soon

Devin, Some how I must have missed the posts in this thread after my entry. After you sent me the pics, I meant to tell you how great the pics looked when I saw you at the Supercar weekend, but was side tracked I guess.

What a great time we all had!!!! Fortunately I was with the group that missed the massive I-95 pull over by FHP. I heard some accounts, but what actually happened & what was the outcome....any tickets or just warnings to all???????? I'll have to get the Key Largo DVD at the next run...Portafino in Orlando maybe?????

Looks like a move in the right direction. Starting to look exotic. A look like this should be reserved for future high end HP versions (Plastic mess-06 & ZR1), so it looks uniquely different than a standard "plain jane" ve++e. They could get more $$ for it if it were very different from the base model.

Agreed. The hood is something that sets itself appart from anythings else. I'm sure it can painted to color coordinate with the body. May be just make it a neutral gun metal color or satin/flat black. Other body changes look good as well. This will give the Viper a run for sure. Now lets see what Dodge has up its sleeve for 2009.

I think it looks better than either the Ultima or Factory Five GTM. They're not to far from me, I might just go be & see if they have any in the works to see the quality close up. I'll be its a screamer

ME Agreed, stick with the whole Italian theme. The hotel is great, I stayed to all three hotels at Universal, it one of my favoties.

There was a discussion on another forum a couple of months back about going to Ca & doing a drive up the PCH, but never happened. We could either ship the cars there (bulk discount??) or rent one when you get there. Renting one could be an opportunity to drive a model you haven't had yet to try it out. The Viper club & some bike clubs have done things like this before. As I understand Ca coastal weather, its cool in the summer so it would be a good choice for those from any where that has HOT summers. This would of course give anyone anywhere, not just S Fl, the opportunity to come out and play with their (or rented ) exotics. This would have to be set up months in advance to people could plan there summers around it in advance. We'd need someone to check out rental costs & shipping cost. hotels, etc... Of course rentals would appeal most to those coming the furthest due to offset of higher shipping costs. For me (born & raised in S Fl), this would be the trip of a life time, to drive the PCH in a Lambo!!!!!!

Same feeling here. If its a weekend car, get the Viper. I drove a couple of turbo Porches, but don't care to ever drive one again..had no "bang" to it. The Viper compared to the Porsche is like the adrenaline rush of an old style wooden roller coaster (Viper) vs the new urethane wheeled ones (Porsche). It a rough ride but lots of fun & never get boring. Of the cars I have, the Viper is an all out fun ride. That said I have had 3 so far, get an 03 or newer (has ABS), my 97 had probs, but my 04 & now my 06 are perfect. It has 500 HP & with a SC you can be up to 725-750 if you want more fun !!!
