  1. Awesome info! Seriously, I knew some type of Fix was available as its 'sold' with the LNB exhaust system, but they wont tell you what that is, or explain it, unless you buy their exhaust. Fortunately mine never really had this problem, but I know a lot of 05 and 06's are challenged with this, when they have after market exhausts. Thanks again! Jon
  2. I'm not going to read all 4 pages of this shit, but let me assure you DR MURCIELAGO AKA Victor (Vartevar) is THE BIGGEST FUCKIN PIECE OF SHIT SCUM BAG I have ever had the unfortunate pleasure to do business with. He will blow smoke up your ass and promise you the world and when his part fails, that he 'gauranted' he stops responding. Thats the mild version of what was in my head, the other had a lot more foul language. Please fellow owners, dont ever buy anything from that asshole. We have all been warned. Jon
  3. As everyone is noticing on all my replies in this forum, lol, I'm back again reading and replying. Yeah Parin has had some credibility issues around these parts. I personally never plan to buy a car from him, he seems a bit too shady for my comfort levels, especially when we are talking about expensive cars like these. Oh well, based on the low 'watch' count on those vidoes, this guys not getting the message out very well. He might be reaching .001% of Parin's client base, which is why he can keep selling these cars without impact from this man's valiant efforts. I bet Parin sold him a piece of shit, and when Parin wouldnt make it right, he took to this crusade (pure speculation). Oh well, guy did great research, glad to see someone's out there trying to make a difference, I think the previous 'short term' owners are glad this guy stepped in, so they didnt get a wrecked car that they paid top dollar for. Jon
  4. Look to see if you have the same bolt up points. The are specifically there on my car for this part, there is no other elements that tie in. I am going to guess these chassis bolt in points dont exist in the Coupe. Also please note there are very specific Carbon Fiber engine panels that are used just for the roadster for these access points.
  5. I own a GTR for shitty weather. I own a Lambo Roadster so my Soul can freely transverse in and out of the car as I fly the friendly sky... whoops, I mean drive. Lambo Roadster is the only way for me...Enough said.
  6. Carloz, not sure where you live, but if its around chicagoland, I'm happy to give you a hand. I know these cars very well. I've done most of the mods worth doing.
  7. You can get the electronic manuals for the engine, as they sell them. I think I have mine on one of my laptops, what specifically are you looking for?
  8. Great Car, it originally came from Chicago Land (Previously sold from Lamborghini Chicago.) The previous owner was a member here. Great car, he might be a good guy to talk to, I am sure he would welcome chatting with the new owner. I used to have his number, but have since lost it. anyways, enjoy the car, beautiful! Jon
  9. Curious, what was the outcome of this? I already have a dyno tune that netted significantly MORE power then this, HOWEVER, 24% faster shifts sounds awesome. Can I just get the tranmission improvement tune? And what exactly is done to get that increase shifting? I know the gallardo's have had that for a while, but I didnt think it was available on the Murci Egear cars. Would love to know more... also it would be nice to be able to tune launch control. That 4500 rpm drop is pure destruction on the drive line, but a 2500 rpm drop sure would be nice. Please provide details.
  10. And then.... I can weigh in, probably way to late, but here it is. I have primary cat DELETE (bypass pipes) and secondary STOCK cats, and muffler bypass. I passed the IL DOT inspection, because my ECU has NO problems with my setup and told the dmv that my car is running great. They gave me my print out, and away I went. I live in the city of chicago.
  11. No go, the fronts rub (anything other then straight forward)
  12. I'll get some photos and people can compare before and after, since my before photos are already in this thread.
  13. correct! and if that bothered me, I'd simple lower the car accordingly (Whiteout explains how on his 'how to' site). BUT because I live in the city of chicago (read shitty roads and pot holes), the extra height will not bother me (id prefer it, as it avoids scrapes even more and included drive ways/alley ways). But again, others who still wanted the same right height, can use our factory adjustable shocks to lower the car back down, and put more of the Tire up in the fender well. Great question ! Also the larger radius, gives me additional 'foot print' (contact patch). (For exageration purposes, imagine how much 'surface area' a penny has (smaller cicumference), to a 'silver dollar' the contact patch (even though lets say they are theoretically the same width) is larger on the silver dollar (because its a larger circumference.)
  14. We may be able to add a new setup to the list. Some may not agree with this layout, but I think its probably going to be the money shot. Anyone who drives their murci as much as I drive mine can likely attest to the fact that these cars are ROUGH to ride in, and while there is little we can do for shock adjustments to make them more compliant, one 'easy' option is to adjust side wall heigh, so they have a little more 'compliancy' during bumps. So with no further ado... I have ordered these for my setup, and they should be in on Friday of this week, I hope to get them mounted on that day as well (maybe saturday at latest). I wanted more side wall, becuase my 25 series rears have no give. This DOES work with AWD: 265/35 - 19 (Fronts) 345/30 - 20 (Rears) If you look the suttle difference is the sizes for a 19/20 combo. Normally (and I currently have) the setup is 235/35 -19 and 345/25 - 20. The rear increase is over .75 of an inch (1.5 + Total) but you only 'feel' .75 of the total increase since its a circle), which gives me more cushion, and it lowers my RPM when cruising per gear (at a given MPH) and my speed per gear also goes up. I now can do 70.74 mph in 1st, 101.19 mph in 2nd, 136.87 in 3rd, 176.46 in 4th, and 201.99 in 5th, theoratically only 227.62 in 6th. I'll let folks know how it goes. Its great to have these sizes in MICHELIN PILOT SUPER SPORTs
  15. Interesting, wonder if there is any point in trying the lp640 settings then. hmmm
  16. I think thats a valid ask, like does the SV specs work (and if so, are they good for lp640s or Murci's) or can the lp640 setup wotk on a murci, assuming that they are different, or people who track their cars, may have found an ideal 'street/track' setup. I want to do an alignment once I get my new tires.
  17. Its actually easier (ok maybe quicker), to change out the gear then it is the whole differential. I'll be interested to see if others start having this issue.
  18. You should get yours looked at then... I find those shifts to be THE most glorious of shifts I ever had. I have a GTR, and its sucks (buttery smooth shifts), compared to the Murci and its hammer shifts... I love the feeling of rawness. If yours isnt a grizzly but controlled shift experience, maybe you have something out of adjustment? nothing about my shifts feel awefull, quite the opposite, I'd love to do a WOT run to have it rip through all gears, all the time.. but those pesky cars with the light bars on the top arent a fan of that.... so I keep that to a minimum. Jon
  19. It comes down to this as an owner of many stick cars, and recent owner of paddle cars: 1. Egear cars are more liveable, especially if you have to deal with traffic. (I hated traffic with my Viper, but my egear lambo its non issue). 2. EGEAR shifts at WOT, are soooooo fkin glorious, nothing compares. (They are brutal and their intent is to propell you forward with sledgehammer shifts, or throw the parts out the back trying). 3. DONT lift the gas on egear cars, they specifically tune it into the ECUs that it cuts power during the shift. Why make it any less exhilarating? Really, we bought these cars to save clutch life? Enjoy the fkin car, and then get an aftermarket carbon fiber clutch that will last for 30-45k miles on the next clutch swap. 4. These car's 'egear' are archaic, and probably the most crude interpretation of how to do such a setup, but I still like it. Women seem to adore it, the harshness and brutalness is exactly what they imagine a race car is supposed to be like (we know better). 5. I would love stick, but I think if I converted mine to stick, I'd eventually convert it back to egear, but part of me just wants to try it. D.Wiggs any chance you can share part numbers with me, I'd love to tackle this? I can pay a consultation fee if you like, but I do all my own service, so I wont ever pay someone to do my conversion, but I like to know how to do it, so I can go back and forth as I like
  20. Curious, where did I say they would all fail? I think I articulated that the problem area are the 2002-2006, with the worst being the egear cars, because the WOT shifts in sport mode are very brutal in those cars (but tons of fun). Its actually 3 failures, as I completed replaced my differential with another unit from an 04, and a year later, it popped. As far as your driving style, yes, I have to believe its inline with mine and you should see the problem too eventually. Please note, a ton of people (as is the nature of exotics), prefer to pretend there is nothing wrong with their car (again not saying everyone), and are very closed lip about any negative things that occurred with it. Even I stayed away from sharing it, thinking it must just be me, until I realized that now 2 of these have failed for me, and someone else is seeing the same issue, I thought I should speak up, and provide guidance. You and I know each other and can contact each other outside of here, so I think we both see the value of the conversation for others, I did get your request (and responded to it) for my broken one, maybe you have a group that can produce better ones? I'm willing to help and even pilot the setup in my car (before I switch to lp640 setup). But without you getting worked up (you never do, which makes these good conversations), do you have a break down of what clients of yours have for cars, that did the conversion? I have to believe its mostly 2007+ cars for us to not be seeing this problem so much. I'm scratching my head, the design is flawed, and it takes about 1 year of sport driving to fail the unit, so I am curious if its just that non lp640 guys arent buying them, or they are driving 'normal' (but why would they get the 2wd setup, if they werent interested in white knuckle experience that comes with a RWD car with no active handling). Just curious, I know its a problem, becuase the factory figured out its a problem, they completely changed the design for this area on the lp640s. Oh shit, everyone's talking about me, wow...
  21. Only when I have the 'front lift' on, but when the car is in normal operational height I do NOT get rubbing, but what you describe is exactly what I get when the car is fully lifted up, and I'm making sharp right or left.
  22. Yeah, I don't know. I can't imagine that we would be, but I personally don't know of any others who have had this issue, but with me having it happen twice with 2 different differentials, its not likely that I just got TWO factory defects. But again, the 07+ cars are FAR LESS likely to have this probelm, so it will have to be RWD on 02-06 cars, and Egears being the most likely to have the problem because of the harshness of the geaar shifts. Yeah, I just used the other guys terminology, I've not ever really refereed to them as Sun gears, but sounds cool, so used it. I know it as the spider gears as well, I thought PERHAPS spider gears that have OUTPUT shafts were called SUN GEARs and that why I used the terminology. Keep in mind there are effectively 2 types of 'spider gears' in the tranny (4 total gears), two of them are your typical 1/2 circles rotating on a shaft, but the other two, have output shafts that extend outside the differential and are the basis for which the output flange attaches to, and then the stub axles attach to those and that ultimately attach to the wheels.
  23. Hey Whiteout, Lets be clear, I am explicitly talking about 02-06 cars, with the 'worst' being the Egear cars. I have trouble believing you have dozens of 2wd NON LP640 egear car owners. Egears have MUCH harsher shifts then a stick car, and each of those 'mule kicks' in 2wd slowly pound the planetary output shaft gears into submission. If you have a regular muci in 2wd mode AND you drive it semi-sedately, then you likely will never see this (but then, why go to 2wd if its not to ring the piss out of the car). The 640 cars do not count in my statement, as I said, they have a MUCH improved rear differential (as I stated in another thread, I have both sitting in my garage, and did an extensive review, I'm proud to own a lp640 differential, its kick ass over the original design. So as always, I am not hear to rain on anyones parade, but share my automotive knowledge, which like many here has been far more years then I'd like to admit (means I'm old), so If this upsets people that I shared this, so be it. Go forward and do this mod, and know that I will not say 'i told ya so' but instead help you figure out some solutions. I am only here to help (and be helped on stuff I need), so in the interest of fairness, I will reiterate, my strong belief is that its definitely only a matter of time before egear 04-06 cars who are RWD have this failure (but I and guessing very few exist in this configuration), or 02-06 STICK cars that I driven HARD (as they should be). Nothing to be ashamed of here, with the proliferation of the 2wd conversion, statistically, weakest link was going to present itself, and more examples will come... and i will help if I can. Thanks! Jon
  24. You nailed it. Even if the front takes 20-30% of the load (not say 50/50), its enough to spare the output shafts (these are internal to the planetary gears and extends outside of the transmission) from load failure. However, when there is no 'little helper' the rear differential takes the whole load. In both cases it has lasted about 1 year before failure in 2wd mode. YES, coming directly from my lambo tech, however, its generally EGEAR cars as there is a LAUNCH control feature, that will significantly overwhelm the differentials after a few uses, and if the tires 'hook' its not long before the differential pops these planetary output shaft gears. AGAIN, this is on the 2002-2006 cars, as the design was noticeably improved (they stopped drilling a HOLE directly in the center of the shafts (removing probably about 20% of the units sheering strength), and went with a SOLID CORE approach. on the 2007+ differentials. Again, I have the priviledge of knowing, because I have both units in my garage For AWD cars, dont use EGear launch control, OR on Stick cars (dont do clutch dumps) and you likely will never see a failure. 2wd cars, unless you arent putting miles on them, OR are driving it like a pussy (not being insulting, I drove my car like a pussy on the way home after purchase, and a few weeks after... then I started driving it like a lamborghini), I think its going to eventually occur again ON PRE lp640 cars. My 2 cents, I actually gain nothing from sharing this, other then historically, its what I do, I share what I learn, and I enjoy it when others do the same. Thanks! Jon
  25. Nah, thats what happens when you own a roaster and you leave it in the rain with the TOP OFF... thats total shit respect for this car. You can see the water stains/marcs from rain doing that shit. Friend/Passerby: "Hey its rain out, didnt you leave the top off your lambo?" Owner: "OH SHIT.. I did leave the top off the Murci Roadster...... just kidding, I dont actually give a shit."
