Well now that the deal is done and the car has been picked up, it's time to fill you all in on the car.

The car is #1121068

I love that because I was born in 68!

The registry is wrong again- the color of the car was not changed. It has been with the Claypool family for the past 19 years, and they are who I bought it from.

The Blue paint needs to be re done to be perfect and I would like a fresh new leather interior and dash.

The Bravo wheels are gold.

The car has 27,600 KM or 17,250 miles

The car was in the southeast, I think that's why I got the call on it.

I know if it was on the open market it would have sold for $75,000 based on it's condition.

I did pay less.

I know you all want pictures, the car will be here on Friday.

Tony

Easy guys...I told you the car needs paint and it's not perfect. But it is original.

I know that you both would have bought this car.

If all three of us knew about it the seller would have $75-$85K but the car is in good hands and if I ever sell it you'll be the first to know.

I may agree that you should not change a cars colors, but I don't like an original car that looks like crap. Like Miura #4870 that has been totaly restored, that is how I want my LP400S to look when it's done. With a handfull of these cars in the world there may be a few that are original but if there were 2 for sale side by side and one was documented restored to new and looked perfect and the other had cracked paint and worn leather, I would choose the restored car.

The car is at my shop, I tried to post up a few pics and it would not work.

I have to go in tomorow for an hour, so I'll take my good camera get the pics and put them up from home.

The car is all there, it runs and drives fine.

The car is so much lower than a S2 car which I have owned three. I can see differences in the body and the interior.

The car still has the old dry P7 on front and back, it's almost like a barn find but without the mice and the car not running.

The color is so dark it is almost black. I'll have to get a sample of Acapulco Blue and check it out.

I will also ask the factory what the original colors were in case the registry is wrong.

OK,

Now there are not going to be too many pics untill I get her fixed up.

I'm glad the engine checked out.

I drove it and it runs good.

And before you ask what the DMC is about on the door.

Go to delorean.com and dmcflorida.com

That is my business, and yes the floor in my shop is white.

At any given time we are booked 4-6 weeks out for DeLorean service and restoration.

That is awesome. The original bad boy exotic if there ever was one. It is incredible how low that thing is over the tires. I lowered my QV like that when I replaced the shocks and springs with adjustable units, and the car would barely roll. So back up went the ride height :(

Great car. I want one

Don't worry. My daughter is off to college next year and my son is only one year behind her. My financial pain and suffering is going to be on a biblical level for about 5 or 6 years so no LP400S until kids are on their own. Unless of course one comes my way in the mean time
