pockmark Report post Posted April 6, 2006 ^^ Thats what you should get for the GF instead of a G. Just tell her it has the same HP with a 5.0 V-10 like the gallardo, but its a 4 door and safer.

Well, only a couple problems with that. One, the M6 is a 2-door (unless you meant the M5 by the "^^") Two, both cars are SMG, she ONLY drives manuals (like myself) Three, the manual versions (which I was told will also be 7-speeds) of the M5 and M6 are a long way away Four, she won't be able to track it as well. It is something we have considered though.
EpDarks Report post Posted April 6, 2006 The manual versions are 6 speeds, you were misinformed. They shouldn't be too far away, I'll see if I can pull up some info. EDIT: The 6 speed M5 will be released as a 2007 model. Not sure about the M6, I would assume later.

The General Managers of two separate BMW stores told me that they would be 7-speed manuals. Interesting... I would love any info you can find. trackmagic Report post Posted April 6, 2006 She has a "requirement" that her daily driver be a "track car"? I guess we all have our own priorities in life!
D.Wiggs Report post Posted April 6, 2006 She has a "requirement" that her daily driver be a "track car"? I guess we all have our own priorities in life! I don't recall saying that there was ever ANY "requirements", I simply stated the problems with the M5 and M6. Why wouldn't you want to be able to track your everyday car, especially if your everyday car was your only car thereby eliminating the possibility to have a track car in addition to a daily car ?
