I figure most of you have seen bits and pieces of all these cars around somewhere, figured I'd compile all the info for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

From Fast-Autos.net

All 07 Models.

CLK AMG

The CLK 63 AMG Coupe features the AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine that creates an awesome driving experience. The CLK 63 AMG produces more power and torque – 354 kW/481 hp and 630 Newton meters – than any other vehicle in this class. The new AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC transmission complements it perfectly, helping to ensure dynamic power delivery.

The new AMG sports suspension, new 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels and luxurious and dynamic standard appointments add to the exclusive and sporty theme of the CLK family. In addition, the front wheels are equipped with a new AMG high-performance composite brake system.

The dynamic AMG body styling, featuring a new, more distinctively contoured front apron with side air vents, underscores the CLK 63 AMG's position as a sporty flagship model combining dynamism with exclusiveness. These qualities are also on display in the interior of the two eight-cylinder models, for example in the new AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel, multicontour AMG sports seats and exclusive Nappa leather upholstery.

CLS AMG

The new CLS 63 AMG is an exceptional automobile offering impressive performance, dynamic styling and an exclusive interior. The four-door coupe is powered by a 6.3-liter V8 AMG engine, which was developed entirely by Mercedes-AMG. The new 378 kW/514 hp AMG power plant has the highest specific power and torque of any naturally aspirated eight-cylinder production engine in the world. The refined coupe has a 0 - 100 km/h time of just 4.5 seconds, on its way to a governed top speed of 250 km/h.

The high-performance engine of the new CLS 63 AMG is partnered by the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC transmission, which offers the driver a choice between fully automatic and manual shifting, with changes actuated either at the selector lever or Formula 1 style, by pressing the aluminum gearshift paddles.

Appropriately, the powerful engine is also mated with the new AMG sports suspension, based on the semi-active air suspension system AIRMATIC DC which incorporates the ADS II Adaptive Damping System, and with the new AMG high-performance brake system, which provides plenty of stopping power thanks to composite front brakes and vented and perforated brake discs on all wheels.

The refined coupe styling also incorporates powerful AMG styling elements, while the interior impresses with a blend of exclusive sportyness and superior materials and build quality. Standard specification includes AMG sports seats with Nappa leather upholstery, the AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel with new aluminum AMG gearshift paddles and the new AMG instrument cluster with 320 km/h speedometer scale and red needles.

E63 AMG

Powered by the new, naturally aspirated AMG V8-engine, which develops a maximum output of 514 bhp and a maximum torque of 465 lb-ft from a displacement of 6.3 liters, the E 63 AMG is the most powerful E-Class of all time. Available as a Saloon or Estate, this top-of-the-line E-Class model occupies the leading position in its segment, where no other vehicle has more output, torque and displacement.

The E 63 AMG also benefits from all the model enhancements which make the new-generation E-Class stand out, for example the occupant protection system PRE-SAFE, the new Intelligent Light System or the new adaptive brake lights. Developed completely independently by AMG, this 6-3-liter V8-engine is the world’s only power unit to combine the high-revving concept with a large displacement – the result is around 20 percent more torque than from comparable engines in this output class. In line with Mercedes-AMG tradition, the new powerpack is hand-built in the AMG engine workshops on the "one man, one engine" principle. Thus equipped, the E 63 AMG Saloon accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds (Estate: 4.6 s). The top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.

Transmission, Sport Suspension, and Braking System

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed automatic transmission is the perfect partner to the naturally aspirated AMG 6.3-litre V8-engine: equipped with three individual shift programs, it enables the driver to choose between more comfort-oriented or extra-sporty gear changes – either in automatic mode or manually, using the new AMG aluminum shift paddles on the steering wheel. Outstanding handling safety is guaranteed by the AMG high-performance braking system with internally ventilated, perforated disc brakes all-round. The particularly highly stressed front brakes feature innovative composite technology.

The AMG sports suspension based on the semi-active air suspension system AIRMATIC DC includes the Adaptive Damping System ADS II and allows the driver to choose between more comfortable or very sporty handling characteristics. The shock absorbers and springs instantly adapt to the current driving situation, but can also be manually modified in three stages at the touch of a button. The 8.5 and 9.0-inch wide, titanium grey, high-sheen 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a new five-spoke design are fitted with wide-base tires in size 245/40 and 265/35.

The new AMG wheels are not the only distinguishing feature of the E 63 AMG. A lasting impression is also created by the new, heavily contoured AMG front apron, large air dams and round foglamps with chrome surrounds. Heat from the integral, additional engine oil cooler integrated into the front bumper is able to dissipate via air vents in the sides. This top-of-the-line E-Class model is also immediately identifiable by the "6.3 AMG" lettering on the front wings. Dynamic side skirts, tinted rear light clusters in a new design and a redesigned AMG rear apron for the Saloon impressively round off the visual impact. Both visually and acoustically, the AMG sports exhaust system with its two twin chrome tailpipes underlines the dynamic character of the E 63 AMG.

Interior

These striking and exclusive features are continued in the interior: a sporty touch is provided by the AMG sports seats with nappa leather upholstery and alcantara inserts in the shoulder area, as well as the AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel with a perforated leather lining and AMG aluminum shift paddles. Perfect workmanship and a carefully coordinated color scheme ensure an atmosphere of the highest quality.

The driver is kept well informed by the new AMG instrument cluster with attractive dial instruments, a speedometer graduated to 320 km/h and red needles. The integral AMG main menu display shows the currently selected gear including an upshift prompt, as well as either the engine oil temperature or the battery voltage and the RACETIMER. This new function enables the driver to measure lap times on an enclosed track. The RACETIMER records the time for the fastest lap, the average and maximum speeds and the lap distance.

ML 63 AMG

Powered by the first-ever engine developed entirely by AMG, the high-performance division of Mercedes-Benz, the ML63 AMG will join the other new-generation M-Class sport-utility models that began arriving at Mercedes-Benz dealerships last year. Following its world premiere at the Frankfurt International Show last fall, the ML63 AMG will go on sale in the U.S. this summer.

With the launch of the ML63 AMG and R63 AMG models, all-wheel-drive returns to the AMG lineup. While primary markets for AMG models are Southern California and Florida, a strong contingent of AMG owners in the northern U.S. will appreciate their rare combination of power and traction.

The athletic design of the new high-performance ML63 AMG is apparent even from the outside – bolder AMG front and rear aprons, an AMG front grille, flared fenders, and stainless-steel running boards. In addition, the new ML63 AMG comes with tinted taillights and two sets of chromed twin exhaust pipes.

Inside, the ML63 AMG is fitted with AMG sport seats (covered in Nappa leather with Alcantara inserts in the shoulder bolsters), a leather AMG sport steering wheel and a special AMG-designed instrument cluster that includes a lap timer. AMG door sills and stainless-steel pedals with rubber studs complete the picture.

The First Powerplant Developed Entirely by AMG

However, the heart of the new ML63 is the first engine developed entirely by AMG – a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 that produces 503 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque for zero to 60 mph test track times of less than five seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

One of the most powerful production V8s ever, the new engine boasts a wealth of exciting features derived from AMG’s highly successful racing efforts. Built almost completely from a high-strength silicon-aluminum alloy, the new 6.3-liter features four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, bucket tappets (rather than rocker arms) and a variable intake manifold. The engine shares no parts with other Mercedes-Benz V8 engines, and the 109-mm cylinder spacing is unique to the new 6.3-liter powerplant.

AMG racing genes are obvious in the design of the closed-deck aluminum engine block, which includes cast-in steel reinforcements and an especially rigid “bedplate” design instead of individual main bearing caps. A first for a production engine, the cylinder bores feature a twin-wire-arc-sprayed (TWAS) coating, a new process that results in impressively low friction and running surfaces that are twice as hard as conventional cast-iron cylinders.

A Bosch ME 9.7 microprocessor manages the entire show – fuel injection, ignition, valve timing, the variable intake manifold and even an electronically controlled thermostat. Despite its high power, the new AMG V8 meets all current exhaust emission standards. Variable valve timing plays a major role by creating internal exhaust gas recirculation at part throttle – with both the intake and exhaust valves open briefly at part throttle, some exhaust gas flows back into the intake to help reduce exhaust emissions. Whatever’s left is handled by four catalytic converters, four oxygen sensors, secondary air injection and double-wall exhaust piping.

A High-Performance Seven-Speed Transmission

The ML63 AMG comes with a seven-speed automatic transmission that’s controlled by a Direct Select electronic lever on the steering column and by Formula-1-style buttons on the AMG sport steering wheel. Three shift modes – “S” for sport, “C” for comfort and “M” for manual – can be selected via a switch on the center console.

A Sport-Utility Chassis Worthy of a Sports Car

Like all current M-Class SUVs, the new ML63 AMG boasts a strong unibody platform and an effective full-time four-wheel-drive system beneath its sleek exterior. Its four-wheel traction control system incorporates functions such as a downhill driving aid and Hill-Start Assist. Optimized for high performance, the ML63 AMG’s power is distributed 40 percent to the front and 60 percent to the rear.

A double-wishbone front suspension and four-link rear suspension deliver impressive on-road driving performance and comfort. An option on other M-Class models, height-adjustable AIRMATIC air suspension with special AMG shocks is standard on the ML63 AMG, along with a specially configured version of the ADS adaptive damping system. High-performance vented and perforated disc brakes on all four wheels work with highly polished 20-inch AMG alloy wheels fitted with 295 / 40 ZR 20 tires.

R63 AMG

Powered by the first-ever engine developed entirely by AMG, the high-performance division of Mercedes-Benz, the R63 AMG adds high performance to the six-passenger, all-wheel-drive capability of the highly acclaimed R-Class luxury vehicle.

Representing a new way for six adults to travel, the R-Class combines the distinct advantages of several disparate vehicles – the sure-footedness of a four-wheel-drive sport utility vehicle, the performance and comfort of a fine sports sedan and the versatility of a luxury wagon. Innovative design and useful technology now make possible an automotive decathlete – a vehicle that can excel at an unprecedented range of owner needs.

All-wheel-drive returns to the AMG lineup with the launch of the R63 AMG and ML63 AMG models. While primary markets for AMG models are Southern California and Florida, a strong contingent of AMG owners in the northern U.S. will appreciate their rare combination of power and traction.

An AMG Vision for the R-Class Decathlete

The R63 AMG combines high performance with style and every-day usability. The athletic design of this new high-performance model is apparent even from the outside – bolder front and rear aprons, an AMG front grille, flared fenders, and AMG side skirts. In addition, the new R63 AMG comes with tinted taillights and two sets of chromed twin exhaust pipes.

Inside, the R63 AMG is fitted with AMG sport seats (covered in Nappa leather with Alcantara inserts in the shoulder bolsters), a leather AMG sport steering wheel and a special instrument cluster with AMG graphics. AMG door sills and stainless-steel pedals with rubber studs complete the picture.

I'll take the E63...

My only gripe is that they are no longer S/C, which is fine if you want to keep it stock. But you can no longer drop less than a couple grand and get 100+ hp out of the motors like you could before. I think I would take a slightly modded E55 or SL55 over these new cars.

If they have done a CLK 63, I guess they'll do a C63 in the next model. That should be a pocket rocket. :)

What about an SLK63!?!?!?!? I like how they "detuned" the CLK to seperate it from the upper classes.

What a waste! And they were doing sooo well.

I wonder what BMW will be doing with their new M3? They have to have similar HP to the AMG line. With the emergence of a twin turbo 335ci rated at 300hp. I would expect the new M3 to be in the 400-450 range, but will it be turbo or N/A?

M3 alleged to get 415 HP 4.0 v8 (5.0 V10 minus 2 cylninders)

NA, correct?

I find that odd because the TT 3 series would be easy to bump up to 400.

And yeah, the aftermarket for Renntech is going to shrink. I bet they made a fortune off the small 2-4k mods that turned big HP on the S/C AMG models

The new m3 planned to be 400hp V8.

I think M-guys happy for the M5 but i think they will be a little sad with M3 because all rivals Audi RS4 has extra 20hp and quattro, the CLK63 exra 63 hp. No chance to M3.

BTW the challenge between M5 and E63 will be fair now. I am looking forward to se new roll videos on the net

Thats the thing if its 400hp, like aedmon430 said, it wouldnt make sense. All other atis in its class are going to be 420 and above. BMW doesnt like to be in second place behind Mercedes. Albeit they have been playing catchup for a while. I think it will be at least 440hp and lighter/more well-balanced than the CLK63.

I understand you. Another issue is the price issues. We all know the AMG prices are so hot than the BMW M prices. For example from my country the E46 M3's are 120k euro and the 2005 CLK 55 was 165k euro price in Turkey. BMW wins the challenge about price issue and the larger engine means much much price. If a new M3 price at 150k euros nobody look at a M3, people can get second hand Porsche 997 S with a mileage below 5k miles, or a second hand M5 e60 at 140k euros

For the being second after Merc. Wasnt the e46 m3 slower than the 2004-05 CLK 55 (367hp).

from what I remember the M3 had less HP, but was faster due to gearing, weight distribution, weight, etc.

How many hours do you think these cars will spend in the shop!Every time I bought a new model Mercedes the cars were constantly in service. They have so much technology but don't give enough time to work the bugs out. They let the buyers do that for them.Cars are beautiful and fast but they can be headaches.Mercedes builds so many cars now compared to years ago that reliability and quality control have to suffer.I have owned at least 20 Mercedes in my life and the last few just spent too much time in the shop!

I have learned never buy a first run car. It may seem cool to buy a car that you dont see on every corner, but IMO its not worth the headache.

BTW sftobr how far is Wellington from Miami?

Guys!! No worries!! Mercedes will be continuing to use forced induction engines. The 6.3 liter is clearly a new engine, but its either an addition to or a replacement for the 5.5 non-supercharged engine. The 5.5 supercharged will remain a production item, at least through the 07 models. The SL55 was just revised, and now has 510hp, a 17hp gain. The SL65 is also going to continue production, and Im very seriously considering a purchase  . I was hooked the first time I saw one. Especially when it did 11.2 on the strip! But just think, the other 5.5 s/c was 469, and 493hp, depending on the model. This is 481 NA! Oh the pissibilities... I cant wait to see what Renntech, Kleeman, and Brabus have up their sleeves!

The 6.3 NA is available in the cars listed above. To my knowledge, the Kompressor 5.5 will only remain in the SL.

You are extremely hindered by hp modifications with a factory NA motor instead of a factory FI motor. Look at Dinan M5's, they have minimal hp gains for big money compared to very little money for 100+ hp for 5.5 AMG cars.

The 65 is turbo charged not super charged and as you said will remain. If you are looking for one, they are a blast and fast as hell. I have had mine for a few months now and love it.

I just thought I would mention the SL65, but just as a sidenote. I just spoke with one of the dealers at the Benz dealership, and out of the blue, last week an SL65 arrived from the factory, and its black on black! He also said that through 2007 production models, the 5.5 s/c engine will stay in production in all models that its currently available in.

I might just pick up a 65 sooner than expected!
