Mr. Vroom Report post Posted October 13, 2008 Yet another tuning shop to put blowers on a R8... article mentions that MTM "is currently exploring the construction of an R8 that would deliver 1,000 horses for a Swedish customer" 48k for this one including the carbon fiber package: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drive...rticleId=133471

Iceman Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Nice clean job! Better than the paint scheme on that other SLR, that's for sure!
Kevin2772 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Definitely not feeling the wheels, and I wonder what that kit looks like on a car with a color that would really show the lines..
MasterShake Report post Posted October 14, 2008 I have never liked Abt's styling and this is no exception. The rear section looks hideous and the front bumper looks riceish.
NRG x Lambo Report post Posted October 14, 2008 i think the vertical vent slits don't loook as nice as the factory's horizonal grills.... is that LEATHER in the engine bay?!?!?!
LotusMike Report post Posted October 14, 2008 I think the styling is phenomenal AND functional; that's key. The leather in the engine bay is just silly. The big comfy sofa-like seats don't look like they belong. Bottom line: Bad-ass R8. They were right in that 420 hp is just not enough for such a great car. But $48,000 isn't the right price either. Wonder what the blower itself costs.
