ContinentalGT Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Hey guys, Thinking of spicing up my Continental GT a bit with new, more aggressive rims. Which do you like more, the GT Speed rims, or the Supersports rims? I posted pictures of both below: Supersports (rims) GT Speed (rims) If it helps, the color of my GT is "Silver Tempest" which (for those who aren't familiar) is a little lighter than the color of the GT Speed posted above. I think both rim's colors have the potential to look good with it. My initial impression was that I liked the GT Speed rims because they remind me of the rims on my Superleggera. I'd like to hear your thoughts. Also, does anyone know how much they retail for, or a cheap place to get them? My dealership tends to try and "upcharge" me based on what they think my buying power is. Thanks!

VBUGKING Report post Posted January 19, 2010 supersport by a mile, the speed wheels arent as good in person as they look in pictures IMO.
topjay Report post Posted January 19, 2010 I think the super sport ones look better but only just. I would say the dark tint version of the speed wheels look a lot better than the shiny ones if that makes any difference, personal preference though. Here is the two:

donnie Report post Posted January 19, 2010 can the supersports take the new self leveling hubs?
Kevin2772 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Arent the black supersport rims some new type of paint or whatever and probably expensive as all hell? And can you even order them to put on? I agree with all the above though, the supersport rims are the best looking!

I was looking for a picture of the more "titanium" colored Speed rims, but couldn't find one. Those were the Speed rims I liked. Does anyone know if the Supersport rims are available for purchase? I assumed anything could be had for a price...
Kevin2772 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 I asked Brandi about those rims back when the supersport was introduced, and this quote directly from her makes me wonder just how insanely expensive those rims are "All the brightwork and rims have a PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish which Bentley claims they are the first to use this method in the automotive industry. It doesn't have a clear coat. It's a vacuum coating of metals. So if you curb a wheel, you're screwed because it cannot be refinished. I don't have any pricing on them yet. ebloom670 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 Both wheels styles are only available on an exchange basis. The self leveling hubs will not work on either wheel. Sorry
