khalSPE Report post Posted July 28, 2010 A sports car as iconic and legendary as the Nissan Skyline deserves some appreciation, let alone a thread. Pictures of the past and present chassis will be posted and updated. Feel free to add to the thread. –khal

Mako Report post Posted August 13, 2010 Soon to be followed by an Allan-generated "NISSAN ALTIMA APPRECIATION THREAD" because, you know, an Altima is just as iconic.

IbnRushd Report post Posted October 8, 2010 Still trying to get a picture of it, but there is one official R34 GTR in Canada. It's registered as a 2008 and was imported and built piece by piece. It is registered here as a kit car. But it's the 2002 Nissan Skyline GTR R34!

IbnRushd Report post Posted October 27, 2010 $ 100k $50K and still not street legal. http://www.autotrader.ca/a/NISSAN/SKYLINE/...91005081451907/ Yeah i saw that later after the post and forgot to mention it.... Originally I heard 100k was the build price and selling for 160k (thus my figures) but no clue. But it was originally street legal, on the same forum i got those photos from it said that the owner got ratted out and they went after him, that's the 'story' on it. I'd still buy it at 50 and keep it in the garage to drool over. And fun for the race track.
Rix Report post Posted October 28, 2010 Some of the GTR's on page one look amazingly slick without look too JDM. Don't get me wrong I love the hardcore track style JDM look but nowadays I tend to go for clean, subtle, street slick instead. Rix Report post Posted October 28, 2010 No need for the facepalm buddy, I've owned plenty of Skylines, love all of them and I'm a huge fan of the GTR, its just a case of Trans-Atlantic lost in translation. I understand what your saying but I think your misunderstanding thevpoint I'm trying to make. Maybe it's the slang that I'm using out of context or just my not explaining thouroughly enough. Some of the GTR's do not look like they were born of Japan, infact they, to me anyway, would look more at home cruising the highways of the US because they have that muscular look. That's one of the main differences between the 34GTR & the GTR, one is inherently Japanese looking, the other, not so much. As I'm sure you know the Japs do things a little different. It's all about speed, power, weight reduction and body kits, which I used to be into. However I'm more inclined to simple mods these days, maybe I'm just getting old
