Gallardo_Stealth Report post Posted December 10, 2010 Just replaced the oem speaker with something called Helix by some local shop. I dont know nothing about speaker, but it still sound like shit.. Planning on going another shop, change out speaker and add Amp + Sub. I dont need any extreme, just average sound. I read that many install Focal, is it direct drop in? any one can provide model code? I also found this slim ready made sub, is it good idea? Sound pro plz chime in Rockford Fosgate P3L-S10 10" Slim. Gallardo_Stealth Report post Posted December 26, 2010 Btw, mine is a G Spyder and im oversea. Updates for those need the upgrade. Focal 165 KRX2 ( No mod, direct drop in, you just need to remove the back grill) Focal BUS 25 Sub ( Behind driver seat, only 3.25" thick) Zapco CD360.4 ( tight fit behind passenger seat. The oem head unit sux, you do need an amp) Impressive ! Now i can turn up the vol as loud as i want..

Gallardo_Stealth Report post Posted December 26, 2010 Please post pics of your sub installation..I was told due to the firewall a sub-woofer could not be installed behind my seat Tks Whats with the firewall ?? Its just a slim ready made enclosure with build in amp, the installed one was 8" demo, 10" out of stock, will put back in in few days... its just attached to the back with some sticky clay. no drilling etc.. More detail: 1) The door tweeter was moved to dash. the KXR2 came with a tweeter enclosure stand, exact color match on the dash. 2) The digial zapco had build in usb port to hook up with pc, tons of config via the software (complicate), the tunner let me try out few profile, now the voice was set in front center like in the concert or something. no more piercing voice from the side. Pic up tomorrow.
Snowrider204 Report post Posted January 2, 2011 I agree. The OEM stereo was horrible!!! I replaced the OEM with a Kenwood dnx9140, 6.5 in Focal mids and tweeters for the doors, JBL 10" sub with custom enclosure. Sounds 100x better. boomenbass Report post Posted January 16, 2011 My installer Custom Sounds in San Antonio was able to shove 4 JL audio 8s behind the seat flush. It is loud, but doesn't hit as deep as a 10 inch or two would. I'll post some pics if anyone would like to see.
