gallardodriver Report post Posted December 15, 2010 I wouldn't be surprised if the Yugo's speedo was highly optimistic.. I think its top speed was 89-90 mph.

LAUTLOS Report post Posted December 16, 2010 > Long story. I was driving the Yugo That last picture with the speedometer made me think "I didn't know that the Yugo is aerodynamic enough to hit that speed... in free fall..." :-D
LAUTLOS Report post Posted December 16, 2010 > how many percent do you think is Yugo's speedometer off? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedometer#I...onal_agreements If the Yugo complies with EU standards, then its speedometer is required to show between 100% and 110% + 4 km/h. (And yes, this is why my 2008 G SL will show 218 mph = 350 km/h when it's really only doing 196 mph = 315 km/h at Vmax.) DetroitDetomaso Report post Posted December 19, 2010 How you like the Yugo? Is it an automatic? 5 speed Surprisingly, the Yugo drives very nice. No shakes, rattles or squeaks. Very smooth at high speeds. Not scary at all. The air works great even when its 110 out. Damn that thing is sick! Even the white/backward mirror... Not white, just looks that way in the pic. this ought to be a great story! Spill the beans when you can Chris, I'm anxious! This story has some politics so I will keep it short. The cars are owned by De993 and her husband Gary. Gary was asked by one of the local radio stations to bring the cars to a Tea Party in Searchlight NV (Home of Harry Reid). The cars were meant as a joke to represent Capitalism and Socialism. Gary and I had a great time drinking beer and hitting on Sarah Palin . I'm pretty sure the media reported about a dozen people showed.
Destructo Report post Posted December 20, 2010 Thanks for the post. Cool to see people out and doing things for what they believe in, whatever their political affiliation. How'd things with S.P.? I'd like my chance to charm her
