  1. I typically have used the rule of thumb to add 100 kg of fluids when estimating kerb weight. Maybe the Aventador takes more? That would be a Kerb weight at around 3600 pounds though. I think SV's come in around 4000 pounds if I'm not mistaken in the real world.
  2. 1.98 kg/hp. 760 hp or there abouts x 1.98 = ~1505 kg.
  3. Per the press release, Lambo is claiming a weight of 3350 pounds. How’d they pull 700 pounds out of the Aventador?
  4. Amazing Ring time. This thing is badass. I’d spec one over a Senna all day. Do we know how many units will be produced and what they will cost? I’d assume $600k-ish?
  5. Pretty gutted by the news. I met him two times. Drank pretty heavily one of the times. He was a great drinking partner. Funny, great stories, pulled no punches with his words. Shame his personal demons were worse than anyone knew.
  6. If painted black, the Senna looks pretty good at night.
  7. On a public road that’s just mega for a rear wheel car. Especially with the tires you run.
  8. Are you going to post the video?
  9. It is crazy they continue to do this. I always disregard their recorded press figures. Not reputable. Other manufacturers just don't do this.
  10. I’ve never heard of an actual tuned 918. Also I’ve seen 918’s put down 175 in the half mile. Maybe that guy should get his money back if that’s true lol.
  11. Someone has to say it but not really any conclusion that can be drawn from different laps on different days separated by mere seconds. Were the Ford GT and 720S ran on the same day? Were they ran on similar style tires (Mclaren on Trofeo Rs)?
  12. Lol that’s what I thought the first time I saw the interior of an EB110!! Congrats man your collection is incredible I have no idea how you decide what to drive everyday!
  13. All about traction at these speeds. Ceiling for 918 is ~175 mph. Ceiling for 720 under better conditions is slightly higher in my estimation.
  14. Glacier white, Sarthe Grey, Saros Blue, amethyst Black are the best colors imho.
  15. I've always thought this. Ridiculous to be taxed on the upside but not have the reduction with the downside. I guess we could all get dealers licenses though and most of us would have a nice loss each year.
  16. 720S's speedo's are much closer than 570S's. Many 570S speedos are up to 10% off. There are threads on Mclaren life about this. Owners thinking about a class action lawsuit because it also effects the odometer and people with leases are being cheated out of miles. So if you read 178 mph it could be anywhere between 160-170 mph depending upon how much your's is off.
  17. P1’s trap 180mph in the half mile so not sure how that’s possible unless your tune is adding 150 hp (in which case good work ) I’ve seen stock 570’s trap low 160’s at best. Usually high 150’s. Are you using Vbox? I caution you to ignore your 570’s speedo, they’re incredibly optimistic.
  18. Cant wait to see what you’ll do in the half mile with this cooler weather. I’m thinking 178 mph. Extra interesting if you can get some 100 octane fuel to see if it makes a noticeable difference.
  19. Unless a car is produced in limited quantities or only for a short period of time (think Lexus LFA) it will depreciate. There will be faster, more powerful and better looking Huracans. However, the Performante is magic!!!! But to echo the others, if you’re nervous about taking a hit I’d just buy used. I’d at least budget losing $100k if you owned a Huracan Performante for 3-5 years. Now the loss of money would be replaced with hours of amazing driving. Monetarily though it’s still an expense way to get your kicks. Not worth stretching for.
  20. I think both MB and BMW engine designs have the turbos in between the cylinders, what they call a hot V. At least I know MB does. It’s a really interesting design. Definitely improves packaging and eliminates lag. Have you driven the E63S yet? It’s tremendous! I’m incredibly tempted by the car.
  21. Less lag than a 650, far less lag than a 570 which really wants you to be above 4000-5000 rpm. Obviously like any car, even including hybrids/NA you’ll get the best performance being in the meat of the rev range. Turbos just have a tendency to be less linear and this thing is capable of a 5 second (perhaps sub 5 on 100 octane and with Brooks at the wheel) 60-130 pull so it will scramble your brain. You need to have your whits about you. Also now that you’ve driven a 650 and felt the lag/bang of the turbos just keep that in mind. Normal turbos (non hybrids) will always feel different from a NA, that’s part of their charm if done right. 720 is as close to no lag as you can experience right now with a turbo. Interestingly though you are so well insulated and comfortable that the speed can also sneak up on you. I think the convertible will correct this and be hugely desirable. The LT version will rewrite the record books.
  22. I didn’t have access to a Vbox when I drove a 720S and there were no performance reviews yet but It was far and away the quickest stock car I’ve driven. Pulled and pulled and didn’t let up. Felt like organs were getting flattened. We now know on 100 octane it’ll run 9.7x at 147 mph. Insanity.
  23. Lmao ok bud. Let me ask you a question. You hold one asset in one hand that is guaranteed to increase in value. One that’s guaranteed to decrease. Which one do you put in the shelf which one do you use? That was my point with my OP. But if you’d like to resort to insults without knowing jack shit about my experience or connections by all means.
  24. I've driven all the cars I mentioned, however I have not driven a GT (it's pretty rare we'd all agree). From speaking to various owners/potential owners, some of whom you would know by name, none of them mentioned the car as one that moved the game forward. They spoke about how beautiful it was, how exclusive it was, etc. These same owners (and myself) spoke to how insanely fast the 720S was, how much the Huracan P put a smile on our face, etc.
