Underground Racing Report post Posted October 27, 2017 Can anymore guess how much crank HP it took to run 257 in the 1/2 mile? Not that I will revile that but just wondering what you guys think it takes HP wise to go that fast.
iBoost Report post Posted October 27, 2017 3000+chp I would guess. Probably 2700+ or more to the wheels in the top gears to hit 255+ My logic: 1500 seems to put the cars around 208-215, 2000whp seems to put them around 230 +/-, so to gain an additional 27mph would require a significant power increase. Hope I’m at least somewhat in the ball park
emanon Report post Posted October 27, 2017 Calculated based on BSFC in a Huracan? Crank HP 2400.
DarrinB Report post Posted October 27, 2017 3200 crank
Cabbe Report post Posted October 27, 2017 Just ask the guys who made the 5000hp Gallardo, they must know! Haha, yeah right!
avengerr Report post Posted October 27, 2017 I would think around the 2600 whp mark.

VentadorGER Report post Posted October 27, 2017 I´d say 2750WHP

Hope I’m at least somewhat in the ball park I would guesstimate about 3000 chp as well, +/- 5% or maybe a hair more. ETS ran 255 and has been relatively public about the power they are making (dyno video). Sure there is drag, frontal area, friction, traction and a whole bunch of other variables that come into play, but I feel at that level, the ability to push through air becomes the biggest hurdle, so I'd have to assume power levels are relatively close. I'd be surprised if it's more, and if anything would assume it's a little less due to superior aero. Let's go with 2,950 chp. Final answer. Underground Racing Report post Posted October 28, 2017 You guys are estimating the power too low.
wooosh Report post Posted October 28, 2017 3,213 hp at the crank ...
aurele Report post Posted October 28, 2017 By watching the 257 mph and how the car pull so hard in 6th, I will say around 3000/3200whp
duhawks Report post Posted October 28, 2017 1300 is 200 1800 gets you 217 2000 is like 225 Got to be close to 3000-3200 whp These are at the wheels...
avengerr Report post Posted October 28, 2017 Damn with these power levels you wonder what these UGR beasts could've trapped at TI. It's a shame they were traction limited. With proper traction I would say 230+.
VentadorGER Report post Posted October 28, 2017 So we now have X1 which is 2100-2200WHp. X2 is 2400-2500. And X3 would be 3000WHP then?

92coupe Report post Posted October 28, 2017 Given it's exponentially difficult to add mph, it would probably be 3500 or north of that to go

Krosswind Report post Posted October 28, 2017 To make close to 3000whp I would suspect the turbos are 80+mm perhaps 8385s like the ones found in ets gtr. Who knows maybe twin 88s lol. But from what I read x versions are running 76mm precision turbos, I'm not entirely certain those turbos can provide more than 2800whp

VentadorGER Report post Posted October 31, 2017 Pretty obvious we are using the 83’s now I guess Were gonna see in about 10 days what they´re truly capable off. John is already certain that 260 is doable on the yellow huracan
Underground Racing Report post Posted October 31, 2017 Were gonna see in about 10 days what they´re truly capable off. John is already certain that 260 is doable on the yellow huracan I think the yellow car would need a grooved concrete runway to hit a 260 in the 1/2 mile and on top of that it would need a near perfect run. The next race in Texas IF we go will be tough to get traction on as it’s smooth black top (asphalt) with no grooves. Where the event (was) going to be would have been perfect as it was grooved concrete. They had to relocate the race for some reason.. We might wait until the Colordo race to go out again. We will see.

The cars attending should not be traction limited by the various surfaces. Put some VHT down and get those records geeze
