  1. Here is the plate on my 1960 Cadillac roadster. at 21 feet in length its not just long, its........
  2. Desperation is not sexy. Not that you are at that point yet, but you really need shrug this whole thing off. It's not your problem anymore.
  3. A loose battery cable at the battery terminals can cause an intermittent problem like that. Try tightening those up. Use extreme caution that your wrench does not come in to contact with anything while doing the positive side (+).
  4. I have used this compamy in the past. Reasonable prices and quick turn around. http://www.alterstart.biz/
  5. Heavy mods done right! $199k seems very fair with all things considered. Out of my reach, but it would be the car I would want.
  6. I don't have a clue about this type of thing, but the price seems like a steal ! http://www.controller.com/listingsdetail/a...-UM/1163877.htm?
  7. That's awesome! How did you propose?
  8. My Dad threw in the towel on his project this weekend. He bought a 64 Malibu project to keep him busy now that he retired a few months ago. He tore it down to the bare frame and started to rebuild. About the time he finished painting the frame and replacing the suspension bushings, he decided it just wasn't the car he really wanted to build. After 3 days of the car being on Craigs list he took a deposit last Sunday. I'm kinda bummed. I liked the idea he was coming over almost every weekend and we were working on our projects together in my shop. He said he really wanted to do an early 60's pro street POS instead.
  9. I traded a few emails with them last week. When I asked if the clutch was in good shape and if/when it had been replaced, He did not know and indicated that was why the price was a little on the low side.
  10. Thanks you guys. Just got back in from Naples Florida. We stayed at the Ritz. Super nice place. We sailed on a catamaran to an island for the day. On another day we took an airboat through the Everglades. No Aligators, but plenty of dolphins.
  11. Wow! Sounds like a great time. There has to be 100 places to get reproduction parts. I have personally used www.steelerubber.com for some of my Cadillac weatherstripping.
  12. I agree whole heartedly. There is no doubt that quality food is best. I just don't have that luxury at work. No one thinks twice about a big cooler cup on my desk, but to sit down with a plate and fork when I am not on a break doesn't fly. I have been using Myoplex Deluxe for almost 7 years. It works very well for me. As far as gains and growing, I am VERY happy with where I am at. I am lean, strong, and muscular (especially for 41). I have been training for over 20 years. This where I have the problem, the product that has become a staple in my routine is going away. I was seeking advice from others on the board who regularly use an MRP and what they like. So far Optimum Nutrition seems to be the only 1 suggested. I will probably try it out. I really do appreciate all the input.
  13. Hey I wasn't trying to stir anything up, I just wanted to make the point that I like to carry a little more size than be ultra ripped. Thats all. I respect anyone who trains with heart whether they look like the incredible hulk or a statue of David.
  14. No not at all. I just can't always eat at my desk. After 20 years of weight lifting I have my nutrition pretty much dialed in.
  15. Yeah, its the meal replacement that is important to me. 3 out of 6 of my daily meals are MRP's
  16. So it appears my favorite MRP powder is being discontinued. I have used Myoplex Deluxe for many years. It has great flavor, seems to be of good quality and does not upset my stomache. Its tough to read through all the "hype" and know what is truely a good product/supplement. I want something that is close to a complete meal since I use them at work and can't always eat at my desk. My body type is more power lifter than ultra lean fitness type (not that there is anything wrong with that). I am happier with 18"+ arms and 10% body fat rather than 16" arms and 5%. With that, what do you guys use and why?
  17. Thanks guys. Aside from Lambos, old Cadillacs are also my faves. I needed a large hoist for them. The car on the right is my Dad's 64 Malibu. (An original 4spd car no less)
  18. So I bought one A company that was doing some reconstruction was not going to reuse a couple of lifts so I bought one. Sure it was used, but passed inspection and I couldn't beat the price. I opted to hire a company who specializes in hoist repair and installation to put mine in. I'm glad I did. Besides, why take a chance of it not being installed correctly.
  19. Here is the most comprehensive article I could find. http://www.kustomrama.com/index.php?title=...s_1959_Cadillac As far as a windshield, I'll bet they went here since it is a show car and not a daily driver http://www.racingshields.com/
  20. Here is another one that caught my eye.
  21. She is a 1960 Cadillac Coupe DeVille I'm not sure about what color yet. I really like the "resto-mod" look. I'll probably go in that direction. Here is a 1959 that I think he did an AMAZING job with.
  22. This guy in Phoenix had 3 1959's, 2 1960's and a 1940 something Cadillacs in his back yard. All the extra parts are in the trunk (the bumpers were in the back of my truck) I think it is really sad when car hoarders just leave great cars in their yard to rust out and die.
  23. It is a small company out of Phoenix. I drew up the plans to my specs and then they preassembled them in their shop and trailerd it all over to install. Very reasonable prices too! Mark 602-228-3061 Tell him Gary referred you.
  24. Hi all, Its been a while since I stopped by. Life has been crazy. We just move in to a house with a separate rv garage. I don't own an rv, but I'm sure I can find plenty of fun projects to do. The cabinet guys finished this late last night. As a point of reference, the red tool boxes are just under 4 feet long.
