  1. LOL, well I have 6 cars so I drive it only on sunny days, and during TX2K Peter
  2. Many of you guys know I built a stage 3 Huracan with Underground Racing. This is the 7th car Kevin and his team have built for me. UGR had the Gallardo platform down to perfection, but I was a bit nervous as the dual clutch transmission is a completely different animal (as compared to a 6-speed manual and an e-gear). I watched the GTR community battle with the DCT for many many years and so I was a bit skeptical as to how quickly UGR could perfect the lambo dual clutch platform. Furthermore, I wanted to put over 500 miles on the build before posting my thoughts/impressions on the car. Soooooo, here we are, 8 months later, right around 500 miles on the odometer, and let me tell you, I keep waiting for the "too good to be true" feeling to go away...but it just hasn't. The car drives like STOCK, I know, super cliche, but honestly, it drives like stock. If you stayed out of boost, you wouldn't know she makes 1250 whp. The clutch feels like it did from the factory, OEM.....the transmission shifts like a stock huracan during city driving, and is an absolute animal shifting under WOT. Car is fast...went 182.3 mph at the TX2K17 Roll Race Nationals event and I have no doubt it's an 8 second street car. UGR has ONCE AGAIN delivered an OEM quality/fit/finish product in a package that is a super car killer. Those of you that might be on the fence, get off it and send your car to UGR. Yes, it's that amazing..... Peter p.s. can't wait to get a Performante built
  3. Jeeeeeeez that Huracan hood pic! Dustin, congrats man, post pics. WTF is taking you so long? Peter
  4. JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZUS that is just nuts...the cars have gotten so damn fast. Peter
  5. It's all over the internet and TX2K social media brother!!!!!! Where you been? Peter
  6. I have NOVITEC/KW's on my car.....HRE's.....different offsets than stock....thus far ZERO issues (knock on wood). Peter
  7. Good questions, Kevin basically answered but let me show you a picture of the actual process, the green flag is the set start line of the qualifying, all cars must be 65 mph or less at that start line. Having said that the system is NOT perfect, but it works...we actually had a fully computerized starting system in 2015 (provided by Race America) and it was so damn perfect that it was too good. We had 30-40 restarts during eliminations and didn't have the ability to let the drivers know that the start was false and that they had to come back around to re-run. We've now tied the compulink timing system and daktronics board into our roll race event, we use the radar gun for qualifying only, and the way the event goes off is as smooth as we can possibly make it. Is it perfect? No, is it as good as it can possibly be? Yea, I think so.
  8. I keep watching the video over and over and over and over..... LOL Few comments: 1. The qualifying MPH is 100000% indicative of what power these cars are making. EVERY car has to start at 65 mph or LESS and they all start at the exact same spot. That is how we ladder the cars into the classes. 2. During testing there aren't the same controls. Basically our light guy triggers green every time during testing. We encourage the drivers to match up as if it was eliminations but we trigger green regardless. The intent here is to train the drivers to GO ON GREEN. 3. During eliminations, our light guy triggers green when he sees the two cars "paired up". He does his best to look for sling shots, to look for cars that aren't pacing correctly, speeding up at the end, slowing down at the end, etc.....but it's NOT a perfect science. That's why we tell the left lane, set the pace and go on green, don't worry about the car in the right lane. The right lane we tell the same thing to EXCEPT we also tell the right lane to keep up with the left lane. Our light guy is damn good but he is NOT perfect. As you can imagine, triggering the light green can happen anywhere in that 350 ft. pacing zone. Lastly, wowwwwwwww, what an event.....had sooooooooo many badass cars there this year! All event results are up here, and we also have last years results up too: http://tx2k.com/tx2k17/ Peter
  9. GREAT video....congrats to UGR for winning the event and congrats to all competitors that raced. One itty bitty correction, at 2:34 in the video, here was no malfunction of the equipment, just took a while for the speed to come up on the board. If you look at the official results you'll see Kevin in the R8 ran 211.16 MPH All event results here: http://tx2k.com/tx2k17/ Peter
  10. Great to meet you too bud!!!!! Can't wait to see what you have in store next year... Peter
  11. Hey brother, no, I didn't...hell, i didn't even make ONE hit during the roll race event.....Kevin had to run it just so I could see what she would run. We had 23,000 people come through the gates during TX2K17 so I could barely find time to use the RR!!!! Peter
  12. The quickest/fastest Huracan was the chrome green OB car, ran 8.7@165 The most "comparable" GTR's that are full weight, etc......were likely the GTR Class 3 cars (rules at www.tx2k.com), in the finals they ran: 7.7@183 and [email protected] was one hell of a race, the slower time won the race on a hole shot. They are legit 185-190 mph cars and are "street-able". I would say that the UGR Huracan that ran the 7 is more streetable though...although i'm not sure why i feel that way. Maybe cause it's ALLLLLLLLLLL street, down to the street tires....the GTR's running that quick/fast have much more of a drag/safety look (slicks/parachute/etc...) Peter
  13. What an awesome event, the caliber of cars was insane!!!! The qualifying speeds have gotten exponentially faster. In 2016, the slowest car to make it into the ladders was 149 mph. This year, the slowest car to get in to the ladders went 172 mph! Crazy..... Seeing the UR Huracan and R8 in person is humbling. Those cars put the power down so f'in hard on a street tire, that it doesn't look like real life. My lil ol' stage 3 went 183 mph! I'm happy about that... Peter
  14. So what does a relatively nicely spec'ed Perf MSRP for (say center lock wheels, sport seats, nav, BT, nice color calipers, upcharge paint)? $325k?
  15. I just can't get into the no engine thing.....still very quick cars! Peter
  16. Glad you are happy bud, the wheels look perfect and soooooo much better than the others. Peter
  17. My guess is 129.5 Lemme know and i'll PM you shipping address. Peter
  18. Congrats my brotha! I knew it was only a matter of days after you text me with all those questions last week! Welcome to the verde club! Peter
