  1. yes and yes, although what you are referring as heavely armed cops are actually millitary and will be patroling airport, train stations, metro... That being said, with the raised alert level, they will now be also patroling the street I believe
  2. Just heard about the car in fire in Sarcelles, not related, bursted in flame while is was being driven. no damage and no casualty, it is burning in a middle of a road. to answer the question someone asked, yes cops are armed but i am pretty sure that they are not used to this level of violence and speed. they did not know what hit them.
  3. Well it's more like 1h30 am but don't ask me why, that's a f... joke. Maybe cause if we ask them to run longer they will go on a strike... Pretty stupid if you ask me back to the topic: still at large ...
  4. Cops are on them, they crashed their car as they were being chased. If they managed to make some distance between them and the cops, as you said they are good (for now). But in the near future when they will be identified it will not end well.
  5. Black car is the shooters, they are now on foot... how far can they go?
  6. EFB is not connected in anyway to the aircraft system, it is not connected to anything. Its basically just an Ipad showing some Jepessen charts, just image basically. Ipad is even supposed to be in "plane" mode. If there was some hacking which I find almost impossible, it was not done thru EFB
  7. canadair, fire fighting plane
  8. HI, I will give you my 02 cent since business jet my area of work. advantages of chartering a business jet: - take off anytime, anywhere to any airport of your choice (providing it is accessible with the aircraft you are using - runway lengh, meteo...) - your own aircraft for the duration of the flight, privacy and discretion, aircraft will adapt to your schedule changes... - quality of service that has nothing to do with flying first class - service adapted to your needs disadvantage: would of course be the price but here are a few tips to reduce the price of the trip - fly as much as possible with an empty leg, if you manage to find one. Empty leg does not give you as much freedom of schedule as a regular business flight but it could still correspond to your need. Waay cheaper: for exemple if you book a jet from an airline company based in LA and your destination is NY, you will pay for LA-NY and NY-LA. This even if you are not onboard the second leg because the airline company has to get the plane back to its base. so on the second leg NY-LA they will try to sell this leg for a reduced price (aprox 30% of what it would normally cost you) - if you are only planning one trip, aim for an airline company that will sell you an aircraft like a commercial flight, stay away from company like Marquee that is a "owner club" and not an airline company where you will need to pay an entry fee - and last but not least, do not directly as for one private airline company or another, a LOT of factors will directly reflect on the price of your trip. For ex you want to do LA-NY and hire a plane from a company based in Vegas, you will pay for LV-LA-NY-LV... as a jet broker, he will advise on the best type of airplane for your trip depending on your needs and flight time, he will ask a selection of company with "good service" and as he knows at all time the position of all aircraft he might be able to get you on some empty legs. By doing this you will get the best value for money
  9. a few from my the FBO I was part of the creation and then managed all the operational aspect I have plenty more if interested
  10. yeah that's what I am thinking
  11. hi guys, I just have a quick question, nobody around me has any idea and I thought some of you might be in that case I am French, just got graduated as an engineer and thinking about launching my own business, but for this to work, It will have to be located abroad (thinking of Canada or USA for the moment with a preference for Canada) How can I do that, regarding to immigration, should I just enter the country as a tourist, launch my business and if it's sucessfull take it from there? Is it legal for a tourist to start a business Is the law depending on the country I am aiming for? What about bank loan, might be hard to get one not being a permanent resident in the country Is it possible to just launch a business based in France, get a loan from over here and have all my activity abroad? Thank you in advance for your time, I believe this subject could be interesting for other members as well G
  12. actually a lot of people just take the helicopter flying test (10k) and rent a machine depending on their needs so you don't have to worry about maintenance, your machine certification etc etc and it's cheaper too, maintenance is a bitch on a chopper
  13. I work in helicopters son I think I can help you a bit with that DO NOT BUILD YOURSELF A CHOPPER! you (or your friend) will probably die in it, it is assembled in a factory for a reason (many reasons actually!) BUT if you really want a chopper you have helicopter kit specially created for the people wanting to build their own machine, they are lightweight ans relatively simple the Kompress is the best in this category I think but still expensive (100-150K) If you want an helicopter this is the best alternative I think then if you just want to fly, a gyro copter as mentionned is simple, not expensive (in comparaison) and you will have a blast with that In which country is your friend located exactly?

  19. hi guys was wondering if anyone here have a MG A, my father left his to die over a cover without starting it for years... I just cant stand to see it like that as I just came back home to see the parents for the holidays. cannot find the manual for the moment but I tried to start it, wont even make a sound my guess is battery is flat as when turning the key I should hear the fuel pump and nothing... my question is: can I jumpstart it and how should I do it as the battery is not in one piece but two separate component.... thanks in advance
