The original point of this thread was to point out the new Zo6 went pretty out there in looks and performance more then expected by most people and the Huracan went conservative in looks and power. Now because you want to be seen and noticed in a Lambo and have no interest in a lesser car this thread should be shut down.

Yes if you use 20-25% you would get 780 a made up number by people trying to sell something. Any one who looks at the dyno numbers with a clear mind will discount that as pie in the sky. You can look at all the data of stock cars on the Dyno and then add 12-13% to the WHP and you will come close to the advertised crank HP number by about 2 or 3% up or down. The numbers are all there for anyone with an open mind to look at. But not as much bragging rights as using 20-25%

That is nonsense at 25% that puts the aventador at 832HP And the average Murci at 720 Are you using 25% to get your 2000 HP

Yes 624 @ 12.5%=713hp and 13% 717 hp with in reason.Now think about the 20% loss Dyno tuners use to sell there products the same 624 would be 780 hp. The 624hp is around 3% of advertised most cars are about 3% up or down it is not that much on the average 300 hp car but at 700 it is something you want higher not lower. Also when you do some Mod on your car and are told it was a gain of 30HP at the wheels and is 37.5 at the crank but really about 34.25 it is no big deal to stretch it the extra 3 HP but when the numbers get big it counts.

The 20% that is used to correct is why people are always finding the cars don't perform as well as the increase in HP would indicate. There is no way a modern car even on a 4 wheel dyno loses 20% from crank to WHP . The Aventador WHP numbers are good a bit above advertised But if you take the 624 or the 634 and give them the tuners dyno conversion they would have 750 to 760 HP Not realistic That is why there exhaust and tune numbers never seem to give the times expected.

Lambo needs more power then everyone else to offset the weight disadvantage of its all wheel drive. and without boost it will be hard to get with emissions and gas mileage requirements.

I think you may be the only person who thinks the Aventador is tame it is pretty over the top for a car designed about 4-5 years ago. That is it's advantage it is a space ship in looks.

And you would have thought they got the hint after so many G cars went twin turbo after purchase, at least an option like a base model and a boosted model.

Yes but when you are driving your 275 grand exotic and you get smoked by a 100 grand sports car it hurts. I'm not knocking Lambo I love to go out and turn heads in my Murcie but I will rather be in my McLaren when a new zo6 pulls next to me.

I don't disagree but Lambo went Conservative on the style and performance change in the face of more competition from a many new competitors. I think they could have gone to a much more aggressive look like they have been doing recently with there show cars, and had at least 650 HP for there weight disadvantage with 4wd. It seems like they are starting behind the competition in performance.

I know this is the wrong place to say it, but the Plastic mess-06 seems faster more exciting at much less then 1/2 the price of the Huracan. Where am I wrong I know quality, style, sound but 80 -120 grand Vs 250-300 grand.

In 2012 they sold 1800 coupes now with the spyder they are at about 3500 in early 2014

The car will not see 9.8 with a basic tune.

A good running Mclaren in decent weather will run 10.4 all day as you know and the best Ive seen an Aventador was 10.6 I guess will see. My personal experience has been the Mclaren is faster.

Instead of looking at hypothetical numbers look at actual races the MP4 has beat the Aventador ever since they were all updated. The power to weight ratio favors the MP4 by about 10% so it should be no surprise.

What Mods can SP do to the MP4 other then exhaust or add on modules? That seems to be what is around.

The Aventador is not faster then the MP4 so how could the new G be.
