  1. I loved the Z3M/Z4M. They were unique in a world of clones.
  2. has anybody seen him since he made this thread?
  3. The FF and Panamera are the dry handjob of automotive design. It started out with a great idea, but you hope you get it out of your system before it rubs you the wrong way.
  4. Yeah, I stick by the FF then. You seem to get it, and noting the Z M-coupes you had, you do get the long hood thing. I really miss my Z4. I feel the same way about the McLarens, boring, and they tend to need service. Go get it, have some fun, it is totally different, it is a good deal, and you know you are getting a car that has depreciated about as far as it will go for a while. Don't look back, go do it now. Also don't let money left over burn a hole in your pocket, something else may pop up you never thought would catch your eye and hop on it. AVOID that gross white one. The rockers, the wheels, it is so gross.
  5. Yeah, I honestly would think that first, but he was not really detailed in what he wants and going 4 door SUV from 2 seat supercar, that's a leap.
  6. I am just going to be devil's advocate here. You didn't clarify how often you'd drive it or what new problem you are trying to solve beyond my assumption you are just looking for a new experience. Up to me? I'd get the FF, I mean I am gonna crap all over it right now, but on that list, I'd choose it. FF/Lusso thoughts: Sick of easy blind merges on narrow streets? My neighbor gets a look every morning like he is making peace with his god before merging on our canyon. Want a car you say you can take people in the back seat but nobody ever wants to get in a second time yet they make chiropractor jokes anyway? Want a car that has cargo space that you can say you have and use a few times to prove a point because you can but will never want dirty kids to soccer practice or dogs on the way to the groomer? Like constantly having to adjust your front seat because you have to let people out of the car from that back row? Like finally hearing the sound of a V12 after 5k in exhaust upgrades? Want a car that actually doesn't look all that cool but is just sort of weird and prompts strangers' questions with disappointed facial expressions when you say "4 seater, AWD, hatchback, Ferrari"? I mean in an audio-specific list, the 458 and the Aventador sound glorious. You also know exactly what you are getting, what you wrote pretty much nails them. The 458 screams for you to also get a Ferrari cap, shirt, shoes, keychain lanyard, maybe the shorts too.
  7. looks like links blended in to the background color for a bit, but it was hit or miss. >>>> link test <<<<<< but it is looking ok now?
  8. My list: lawyers (when you get that kinda money, everyone sues you) financial adviser Urus as my daily SVJ as weekender army of trained squirrels pay off mom's farm a murder air force of trained crows sponsor some underfunded schools build a museum of terrible replicas but drive around acting like they are real private jet i'll never use buy dad a nice spot on the beach in corona del mar buy another boat the family will never use that we will donate, again start a non-profit (literally) "Hublots for the homeless" pay off homes for siblings veterinarian specializing in ptsd for squirrels and ducks, maybe this one misc vendettas with the dry cleaner, taco bell drive through dude, the guy that always tells me to park in the tightest spot when there are open spots elsewhere Order bricks via Amazon Prime and make the dude carry them up the hillside 4 flights of stairs from the street to my front door. Hillside living FTW! a party that will make dan bilzerian and gary busey stage an intervention Honestly, I have few things I'd really want for me, maybe go racing, get a few cars, nothing insane. fix lambopower keep you guys laughing
  9. Yeah, it's probably better if I don't. :p In my head right now as I fantasize: Argue over my gardners' leaf blowers and my lights over the fountains one more time, Gary, and you'll regret it! 3 days later as Gary looks out his window across the canyon: "Hey Martha, does it look like he's building a trebuchet pointed at us?"
  10. Only evil plots if I came in to that kind of money. I'd make my dickhead neighbor's life a living hell.
  11. I agree on the slow down, but not full blown recession. A correction makes sense.
  12. If you like Queen, you'll enjoy it with the little backstories of the songs, a little of the band, but the end where they play the Live Aid set was really strong. The team came in to play at reference levels and tune it in one of the IMAX theaters so you get the sound though it is not really formatted for IMAX as you would expect visually. It is not an outrageous story or one with a lot of underdog, I mean, the band pretty much debuted on top, but it is an interesting story. Remi really does a perfect Freddy.
  13. A couple critiques. The message box when composing a new message is high contrast with a white BG, it seers the retinas. body.blackTheme .ipsColumn_fluid {padding: 0} to make use of the space Aside from that, great work fellas!
  14. First review on the new board! We had a screening at IMAX tonight so I took a seat and hung out for the very rushed 2+ hours. The movie rushes through major historic moments, and you see Neil reading papers, babbling science, but never to anybody but himself. People constantly died, they mention it for a minute or two, but the show goes on. Politically, it is a "mankind" film, there is very little acknowledgement of the US and THE fcuking FLAG ON THE MOON IS NOT IN THE MOVIE. This pissed me off quite a bit. I mean, talk about an iconic image, politics aside. Visually it is great, great gear was out for the final big lunar sequence and the sound design here, along with the visuals in general are quite amazing. It only really should win for the visuals, there is very little acting done in this film. So you wonder is Ryan Gossling a terrible actor, or was Armstrong an emotionless robot like a potted plant. You really take the shine off Neil watching this. The cameras are constantly in motion, which makes sense in a floaty-weightless way. Many sequences are super grainy and feel like old home movies, and practically nothing is ever fully in focus, with the exception of the wedding ring on his finger. They really really really felt that needed special treatment. I mean, I got that impression 10 minutes in and when he was not in gloves, there it was. The supporting cast were there, and present, in the moment, but it felt like they were acting alongside a mannequin. It's worth seeing, def in IMAX but overall it is no "The Right Stuff"
  15. God damn! Love love love it! I love my 1st gen X6M because it had the angular styling and once I heard the Urus was coming I felt it was like they were looking in to my dreams. I never thought blue would look good inside and out but, brother you nailed a spec I never thought would be so amazing.
  16. Oh the irony! lol I kid because I love. {grouphug} LamboCars, awesome stuff man! I think in the right spec, maybe with some additional contour lines in vinyl, or in two-tone can break the car up a bit. I feel like the J is to the Aventador as the Reventon was to the Murci. There are hints of things to come and some styling that just does not work, but I am trying to look through it to see where things are going in the future. I am struggling to make Veneno, Reventon and Aventador comparisons because of where they each sat in the line up vs what they purpose is. Reventon was an experiment looking to the future, the Veneno seemed to be "the best we can do, period" and the J is an evolution. I could be wrong on this, my mind is processing it all at a very slow pace.

  18. well, to be fair, there are 168 hours in a week. relatively speaking that is a 'few' compared to the 8760 hours in a year
  19. LP gets a daily Scrum and story points? Regression testing? Jenkins? Continuous Integration? User stories? Low Level Design doc? SOW? Material Design? Gitflow? ARIA attributes? (insert 1500 other buzzwords) :p
